Redstate Update rocks (I think I’m related to some people that remind me of Jackie)

But Nashville is probably the most liberal town in Tennessee. Doesn’t surprise me at the Obama supporters there.

Memphis is the most liberal city in TN, and Nashville is a close 2nd. The Dems take Davidson county (Nashville) in national elections from the inner city votes and the lib intelligentsia associated with Vandy. Thankfully Nashville is surrounded by Republican strongholds in the surrounding counties which more than overcome the dem votes in Nashville.

I am glad you said that. I live in Nashville and I have done a “scientific poll” about the election here. Driving down one neighborhood, I saw Obama signs 3-1 over McCain. Nashville is traditionally a 55-45 Dem/Repub city (I would wager, btw, that Memphis this year will be more liberal). However, on another street, I saw only McCain signs and in my neighborhood, it is 3-1 McCain. So, judging by signs, Mac is doing well...but, judging by sentiment, weighing the numbers, oversampling Dem households and under-representing Repub households, I would say Obama is up 65-40 in TN (the numbers have to add to 105% to count Memphis voters...dead, etc). So, we can take TN out of the solidly McCain column and put in in Obama’s column. That is a monumental shift of 40 points in the polls! I am shocked, shocked at this development I tell you! J/K, just making fun of the polls and their methods. TN is a very, very red state and Nashville will be close this year! :-)

Don’t let it discourage you. There are plenty of smaller towns in the state that will go McCain. They oversample Nashville and Memphis, the larger welfare and Hollywoodesque cities, so that affects the polls.

I am not worried at all. I am just making fun of all of the silly other polls that are being done. TN is most certainly red
