'Sekou Odinga' (Nathaniel Burns) was a member of the Black Liberation Army (SLA). The Weather Underground were allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" (Rev Wright's thing) in an attempted revolutionary overthrow of the U.S. government. I have no idea if National Burns, aka 'Sekou Odinga', is related to Obama's supposed cousin in Kenya.

"Their founding document [the Weather Underground's] called for the establishment of a "white fighting force" to be allied with the "Black Liberation Movement" and other "anti-colonial" movements[1] to achieve "the destruction of US imperialism and the achievement of a classless world: world communism."..."-Berger, Dan (2006). "they [the Weather Underground] employed revolutionary jargon, advocated armed struggle and black liberation and began bombing buildings, taking responsibility for at least 20 attacks. Estimates of their number ranged at times from several dozen to several hundred."

Correction: I of course meant 'BLA'. SLA was that other revolutionary communist/terrorist outfit that kidnapped Patty Hearst.

One of the Weather Underground members arrested for the Brinks crime is Kathy Boudin, along with her boyfriend David Gilbert. Boudin is sentenced to 20 years-to-life. Boudin and Gilbert leave behind a 14-month-old son, Chesa Boudin, who ends up being raised by Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn while his parents live in prison.
One of the former Black Panthers arrested in connection with the Brinks robbery is Nathaniel Burns, a member of the Black Liberation Army. Burns is also known as Sekou Odinga. Burns/Odinga is sentenced to 25 years-to-life for attempted murder of a police officer. (ODINGA, sound familiar?)
'Sekou Odinga' (Nathaniel Burns) was a member of the Black Liberation Army (SLA) and the Weather Underground. Why did he choose the name Odinga? Maybe Burns was aware of current Kenyan politics and liked the communist Odinga Odinga.
The friction between Odinga and Kenyatta continued, and in 1969 Odinga was arrested after the two verbally abused each other publicly at a chaotic function in Kisumu and where at least 11 people were killed and dozens were injured in riots. He was detained for two years, and was consigned to political limbo until after Kenyatta's death in August 1978.
Barack Obama, Sr On his return to Kenya, Obama Sr. was hired by an oil company and then served as an economist in the Ministry of Transportation, and later became senior economist in the Kenyan Ministry of Finance.[12] In 1965 Obama Sr. wrote a paper titled "Problems Facing Our Socialism," published in the East Africa Journal, harshly criticizing the blueprint for national planning titled "African Socialism and Its Applicability to Planning in Kenya" produced by Tom Mboya's Ministry of Economic Planning and Development.[13] As Senator Barack Obama describes in his memoir, his father's conflict with President Kenyatta destroyed his career.
