It’s noteworthy here that Maine allows splitting the electoral vote by Congressional district, so McCain could win votes without winning the whole state.

I find it really interesting the following that the “first dude” is generating. It may not be much in the grand scheme of things, but to metrosexuals, real men and apparently strong women alike, he’s a champion of sorts.

That’s very cool that the first dude is out there working it, too.
The Palins strike me as normal people who could very easily be my neighbors. I suppose it is this characteristic strikes me as a vote against them for holding national office.

He is the literal everyday Joe.

Yep. I wish we could get that done here in Iowa. It would help in a lot of states where the large population cities tilt the vote.

They need to send Todd Palin to blue collar union areas as much as possible in the next three weeks. He could become a “wonder weapon” that could tip the election to McCain/Palin.
Joe Biden is blue collar? Yeah right. Todd is the real thing.

The article doesn't explain that Cindy Michaels, the TV reporter shown on the left in the article's photo, is a Sarah look-alike, and has been getting hate mail.
