BANGOR DAILY NEWS PHOTO BY BRIDGET BROWNTodd Palin (center) chats with WVII ABC-7/Fox 22 anchor Cindy Michaels (left) after signing a side-by-side photograph of Michaels and Palin's wife, Sarah, on Saturday at Moosehead Trail Trading Post in Palmyra. Upon meeting Michaels, Palin turned to his friend and four-time Iditarod champion Martin Buser (right) who was traveling with him from Alaska, and said, "That's pretty close, huh, Martin?"
PALMYRA, Maine Alaskas First Dude Todd Palin received an enthusiastic welcome to Maine Saturday afternoon while attending a barbecue and pressing the flesh at the Moosehead Trading Post.
Palin, husband of Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, apparently prefers the First Dude moniker, as many of the women in the estimated crowd of 500 that filled the trading posts parking lot in anticipation of pallin around with Palin, were wearing pink sweat shirts emblazoned with the phrase Maines 2nd District welcomes Alaskas 1st Dude.
Palin wasnt on hand to give a formal political speech, but he did say a few words about his wife, Sarah, and Republican presidential candidate John McCain before wading into the crowd to shake hands and sign autographs.

Add me.

That’s very cool that the first dude is out there working it, too.
The Palins strike me as normal people who could very easily be my neighbors. I suppose it is this characteristic strikes me as a vote against them for holding national office.

He is the literal everyday Joe.
I want to be on your list.

They need to send Todd Palin to blue collar union areas as much as possible in the next three weeks. He could become a “wonder weapon” that could tip the election to McCain/Palin.
Joe Biden is blue collar? Yeah right. Todd is the real thing.
