PRAYER BUMP
In Case Anyone on the thread missed this, I thought I would share...
There was a thread the other night that was aimed at re-creating the nightly national prayer time from back in WWII as Churchill suggested for Britain. People are praying at 9:00 Eastern Time for one-minute every night.
If you would like to join with everyone, please see this thread for more information: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-bloggers/2102892/posts

I think that is fantastic!
My church is starting a time of 40 days of fasting and prayer, extending through and beyond election time. Not just for the election, but for revival personally, within our own church, and across the nation. I have personally felt convicted in the last weeks and especially as I've read the Psalms and Lamentations this morning (my daughter has strep or else I'd be at church :-) ) that I haven't done enough in standing up for righteousness. Since having kids, I've used the excuse that I'm too busy with them and with our own church, so my husband and I are not as active in pro-life work, politics, outreach to community etc as we used to be. We homeschool our kids, but how is that helping the millions trapped in government schools? How could we be reaching those with the truth? This is something I'm promising to God to not let happen again, to not just fight the good fight in my own home, but to find some way to be more of an influence for good in the community, to be more diligent about praying and working for revival.
