Oh, the charter school was a better school, but hubby had a personality conflict with one of the teachers, and it would not have been a good thing for any of our children who had to deal with her for them to stay at the school. And the whole staff was liberal to the core! The school where they are now is rated horribly, but we have found the teachers to be much better than expected. And they are McCain type Republicans. (not PUMAs) We are finding that liberals really don’t like to teach in the schools of their constituents. They want to teach the smart, rich children. (until just now, I have never really thought about this, but it’s true. The only real liberal teachers our children have had were at “gifted” schools and schools for overachievers. This holds true for every state where we’ve lived during their schooling years. MI, NM, VA, and AZ)

Better a school that challenges children taught by liberals than one staffed by “conservatives” (and I have very rarely come across a conservative school teacher in NY, NJ, and FL) that includes the retards.
