Booed on the ice
The Politico ^

Booed on the ice

It's hard to blame Sarah Palin for her booing on the ice in Philadelphia this evening. It's almost a truism of politics that if you send a pol to a sporting event, he's going to get booed. Politicians, as a class, aren't all that popular, and it's what sports fans do. According to legend, Eagles fans once booed Santa Claus. Still, not a great moment.

The Times hockey blog says the boos were "resounding." The Wilmington paper says it was an "avalanche."

Probably because she was in the area and it gets them in the news.

Here’s the YouTube:

I didn’t hear boos, except for maybe a couple of loud rat goofballs.

I remmeber when Kerry threw out the first pitch at a Red Sox game during the 04 campaign. He was booed pretty resoundingly (in his home park). And not a peep.

PS - The Obama signs crack me up. How did they get in? And why right in the line of the wire photos? Hmmmm...

She can handle it people

We know she can handle it. That's not the point. The point is, the msm a-holes who get the last word will make it look like she was hounded off the ice. Why hand them the material? At least make the slimeballs work for it.

I saw it and the cheers outweighed the boos

Of course this is the second hockey puck that Sarah has dropped. (Biden was the first. LOL)

Scott Gomez of the Rangers (#19 in white) is from Alaska, you will notice how gracious he is during the ceremony.

Bullsh*t.

Not Bullsh*t. It's Philadelphia, one of the most Democratic cities in the US. And Philly fans boo absolutely everybody.

Seems Obama had time to pack the house. I wonder how many in there were attending there first hockey game ever?

I’ll believe this when we have an independent confirmation. I wouldn’t trust Politico for anything.

Here's the YouTube. Judge for yourself.

Shocking. I would think that among hockey fans she would be popular. Maybe some leftist audio guy put in a boo track. That was a TON of booing. No way it was real.

When she comes to Virginia Beach Monday, she’ll be in a much friendlier place. Pennsylvania is looking more and more hopeless. Even many of the “bitters” are supporting Zero.

I watched the YouTube. Not only was the booing loud, the comments were pretty ugly.

I couldn't really tell between boos and cheers.

Here’s another version. Again, the music drowns out any alleged “avalanche of boos”:

I watched it. It was probably 50/50 boos to cheers. Governor Palin handled it with typical class. Both Dubinsky & Gomez are Ranger players from Alaska. Gomez was interviewed between periods and just said it was natural for all Alaskans to be proud of each other. Piper looked adorable in her hockey jersey. I’m glad the Rangers 4-1 lead has shut up those boo bird morons to this point in the game!

I have no doubt they went in with their eyes open. Anyone expecting her to get cheered was being naive.
