Sounded like an equal mix of cheers and boos.

A good showing, considering the Philly fans pelted the daylights out of Santa Claus with snowballs!

Scott Gomez even gave have her a little peck on the cheek!

I watched. I think the boos were louder than the cheers—but what else would you expect from the sewer known as Fithfapelphia?

I still think she should have skated out to drop the puck....right after the recording of Kate Smith singing "God Bless America." Wouldda brought down the house.

My wife and I live in South Jersey. She was repulsed by those who booed. It was hard to hear over the music.

This area’s a lost cause. We want to leave as soon as we can. Only problem is an election of zer0 will spread the Northeast all over the country.

Saw it too. The boos were pretty prominent. How childish. Palin was there to honor the woman who won Hockey Mom of the Year. These idiots here in Philly could have just shown a little respect and decency for the event - not just the representative. My wife (a rabid anti-zero) said she would have clapped if Obama had dropped the puck. It’s just the honorable thing to do, and it’s all in fun.

Jeez Philly, lighten up just a bit once in a while!

BTW, I went to the Philly Fall Festival last weekend. I swear, I thought I’d been dropped in the middle of a Nazi Bund rally with all the Obama crap going on. This city and the surrounding communities are lost for all time.

I love Sarah too. I saw it since we’re getting a free preview of the NHL Center Ice. Obviously there are alot of Obamaphiles in the crowd. Most Flyer fans are actually from New Jersey.

Now on MSG, which is DirecTV Channel 634. Usually blocked for me, but currently available for some reason. Rangers up 1-0.

Palin kissed both of the players on the cheek after the faceoff.

The Flyer who was in the ceremonial faceoff handed Palin the puck- she then proceeded to hand it to the lady who won the "Ultimate Hockey Mon" contest.

I noticed that she did a very "mom" thing as they were walking off the ice.

She waved once to the crowd, shook one or two hands, and then looked to see where Piper was.

Might be a long season for the Flyers this year.

A mixed crowd reaction, but mostly cheering, some boos for sure, but they were drowned out by the music. Hey, people can boo if they want, it’s still a free country (for now).

I don’t have a problem with them booing, but why at a game? I wish they could be respectful at a situation like this. Now if she made some speech and they did not agree with what she was saying then fine boo, but it was a sporting event with a bunch of cheerleading for the team basically than I don’t think booing is necessary.
