For at least the last 10 years, weve noticed a trend that Congress does not support the will of the American people.
Voters have sat back and re-elected the same people who are not heeding the wishes of the people, but have led the country deep into socialism and all its dilemmas.
Even now, while we hang on the verge of a depression, the Congress approves bailouts which will cost almost a trillion dollars with the earmarks that have been attached.
Congress treats the American people as if the voters are dumb children unable to think or take care of them-selves.
In just the last couple of years, the majority of voters demanded that Congress establish a border control for illegal immigration. Congress gave a lot of lip service and continued on the same path.
Two or three months ago, when gas prices climbed to the $4 mark, people demanded drilling in America. An energy bill was put forward by Speaker Pelosi that not only did not allow that drilling to begin, but also added additional restrictions to delay or stall any future hope of drilling.
Democrats and Republicans have both become so similar that we no longer have a check- and-balance system in our government.
Its time the people took a stand and reminded those in office that we, the people, are in control.
It does not matter what party, it does not matter what individual if they are coming up for re-election, vote them out. Both parties are guilty; representatives of both need to be replaced with, hopefully, people who really care about the nation.
Right now, both Sen. Obama and Sen. McCain are talking about spending trillions of dollars that America does not have on socialist programs to bail out organizations and people who took advantage of a system that allowed them to buy homes they could not afford.
Now, we the people are stuck with the bill. If we keep on voting the same people in, we will keep getting the same lousy service.
Folks, lets face it. Our country has had some bad times since 9/11 and the government continues with its giveaway programs when were out of funds.
I dont know about you, but I was always taught that when you run out of money, you give up all the extras and stop spending.
Well, I think its time we get rid of the extras in Washington stop even talking about spending money we dont have and tell the truth. Raising taxes isnt the answer, either, Herbert Hoover tried that and it took the country 10 years to get out of the depression it caused.
Lets vote every incumbent out. And it would be good if the political parties would vote a lack of confidence in the two people running for president, but I guess were stuck with them.
Woah. Looks like people are finally waking up.
Hauser’s Law!
*Giggles* good luck with that....
Send DC packing; every one of them. None of them have the fortitude to protect and defend America first. They’re ego-maniacs who are power hungry. They put themselves and power before our country.
.
There is a breaking point.
For some, it was amnesty; for others, it was gas prices; for others, it is the bailout.
Eventually a critical mass of the electorate will be sufficiently angry with the Congress critters.
EVERY INCUMBENT OUT
E.I.O.
I’m in.
I can see it on a T-shirt even now.
I’ve got a good congressman and will be voting for him proudly in the next election.
Any one who voted for the bailout, absolutely vote ‘em out.
Those who argued and voted against it should be rewarded. That’s my yardstick, anyway.
Here in Virginia, the choice for replacement of retiring Senator John Warner's seat is Mark Warner (D) who supports the bailout and would have voted for it and every other bailout coming...and then the is Jim Gilmore (R) who would have voted against the bailout and future bailouts. Guess who is getting the seat? Right, liberal Mark Warner...who wants guns taken away, Christians silenced and home-schooling banned.
In my district [VA 5th] is Representative Virgil Goode [incumbent] who was one who stayed in the House when the lights went out and the cameras went out to try and force an energy (drilling) up or down vote. He allso voted twise against the bailout bill. Well, his opponent Tom Perr-i-ello (D) is gaining fast on Rep. Goode and may well defeat him. Virgil Goode stood his guns, but in this climate, that don't count for nothing. Tom Perr-i-ello is the 'not-incumbent' and a 'change'. It doesn't matter that he will be a Pelosi/Frank lap dog and vote completely liberal.
Perhaps, this will all turn out to be a 'good think' as Martha Stewart would say.
I’ve got a good congressman..................

Exactly the root of the problem.
Every (teacher, politician etc) is a CROOK except mine.
That is why we continue to have the clowns and idiots we get stuck with all the time.
True term limits is the ballot box.
My congressman has been right on all 3, as well. My 2 senators however, are scum.
One of mine is Levin. (nuff said) Stabenow on the other hand occasionally gets one right. (she fears the voters)
....it doesn’t matter that he will be a Pelosi/Frank lapdog
...etc...etc...

Yes, but the way it SHOULD work is that ALL—including Pelosi and Frank will be packing their bags and leaving town.
No, I don’t think they are waking up. If they were, there would not be so many incumbents on the ballot.
By all means let's "throw the baby out with the bathwater." Geeeeze
Term limits yes but throwing people out for being incumbants is a bad idea. Tim Walberg is my congressman. Care to make this choice for me?
Start with the democRATS first. Then move on to the rino’s in 2010.
