The chief investigator of an Alaska legislative panel concluded Friday that Governor Sarah Palin broke no laws when she tried to have her former brother-in-law fired as a state trooper. The inquiry looked into her dismissal of Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan, who said he lost his job because he resisted pressure to fire trooper Mike Wooten. However, Palin says Monegan was fired as part of a legitimate budget dispute, and the panel said his firing was lawful.

compare that to what MSNBC has been ruuning for over 12 hours now at their site. AP the same last night, not sure today.
They did a hatchet job on Hillary, buried her and moved on to Palin.
Wow that will leave a mark! RAT skin is VERY thin!
what i am hearing in the news is that palin is guilty anyway.
That’s what I am hearing.
It is all BS!
I can see it now.....Massive cover up.. The RNC is a corupt enterprise. Shut it down !
If she were a democrat, there would have been no invstigation.
After all, look at the following.
. Barney Frank runs a male prostitution ring from his DC apartment.
. Barney Frank has a homo love affair with a Fannie Mae exec.
. Chris Dodd gets over $300,000, Obama gets over $200,000, and Schumer gets over $100,000 in gifts from Fannie and Freddie.
. Barney Fwank says outright in hearing in 2004 that there are no problems with Fannie and Freddie.
Not only are there no investigations of wrong doing or corruption, the DemoncRATs, which includes the Media, have successfully pinned all the blame on the Republicans.
Astonishing!
Your tax dollars at work: $100,000 for a sham investigation.
Reiterate: No law was broken.
You would think that Governor Sarah Palin had been caught furtively sneaking a cigarette in the Governor’s mansion, or something.
In the first place, she wouldn’t smoke, or in the second place, do furtive things of any nature in the Governor’s mansion.
Public Safety Commissioner Walter Monegan was offered an alternate position, as it appeared that HE was insubordinate. As a reminder, the position is filled and the appointee serves “at the pleasure of the Governor”.
Obviously, the Governor was not pleased.
So is the counter to this that Barry used taxpayer money to campaign in Kenya? He clearly broke the law, and Sarah did not - both may have had lapses in judgement, but c’mon - Barry did the dirty deed and got away with it.
I think we should be looking at Dodd, Frank and some of the other Dem who prevented Fannie and Freddie regulation with the SAME SCRUTINY...WAKE UP MSM
Barack Obama, on the other hand...
Oh those desperate Dems.

The legal analyst on FOX was laughing at the report this morning. Since nothing more will come of this the story will be dead by Monday and anyone who doesn’t follow the news on the weekend (which would most likely be any dunderhead who is undecided still) won’t hear much about it.
It’s not like she gave money to a group committing voter fraud in almost 20 states.
What the report said is that the Governor violated a provision of the Alaska Executive Ethics Code. But the report, as far as I’ve seen it, is pretty vague about the particulars.
