To: P-Marlowe

It’s very clear to me now that Fred Thompson would have been the only candidate to have had a chance to win. He’d gotten out of government, and was a trusted “image” in the media. There’s a friendliness and approachableness about him that would have counteracted the venom that’s able to be generated against John McCain.

I was a Hunter supporter, but I realize that Hunter was part of the government, and they would have been able to define him quickly.

Come to think of it, perhaps marching on Washington or some big media outlet with pitchforks and torches might be a very effective protest. Or maybe the offices of ACORN.

I was just joking before, but now that I think about it, that might send the fear of God into these people.

Today pitchforks and torches. Tomorrow ... sporting equipment.

Fred ran for one reason. To help McCain. It worked.
Fred had no energy in his protected primary. His primary was half the time of everyone else. He’d melt down in a week of what Palin has taken for 6 weeks.
