Is McCain Resorting To Racial Attacks? (NPR filth)
npr ^ | 10/10/08 | NPR

Posted on 10/10/2008 4:11:34 PM PDT by Drango

In the final lap of the U.S. presidential race some believe Sen. John McCain's (R-AZ) attacks against Sen. Barack Obama's (D-IL) character have gone too far and, for some, are even racist.

McCain was sharply criticized after the debate between the two candidates at Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., for referring to Obama as "that one" — a reference that many interpreted as racially loaded.

Our weekly Political Chat takes on this issue as well as apparent attempts by the McCain campaign to de-Americanize Obama. McCain surrogates have taken to drawing attention to Obama's middle name, Hussein – a tactic that plays into racist assumptions that Obama is a Muslim with anti-American leanings, according to critics.

The McCain camp has also ratcheted up Obama's association with William Ayers, a former member of the Weather Underground Organization, a 1960s radical group that bombed government buildings.

CNN anchor Campbell Brown, Chicago Sun Times columnist Mary Mitchell, and activist and journalist Asra Nomani join the discussion

They KNOW it is not racist and they know who exactly the “code words”, that people like Palin uses, identify as part of Obama’s base - them, the elite media and the elite academia; and Obama’s close alliance and association with them.

They are playing the “race card” because they know it is them, not “Blacks” that Palin observes as against us and the people identify with it - identify with the media and academia as NOT “one of us”.

And that pisses them off, because they know it’s true.

Obama said that McaCain is a “typical white person” who has bigoted feelings toward blacks. NPR concurs.

The “race card” is a lot like the “F-Bomb”; the more you hear it, the less effective it is. Think about that the 15th of January when we ‘celebrate’ MLK day! What a farce the so-called ‘civil rights crusade’ has become. If you disagree with Obama, you’re racist. Give Me a Break!!

OK, but why is “that one” causing such a ruckus?

Nobama has pretended for at least four years now that he is not a racist, thin-skinned black activist as found with Farrakhan, Jackson and Sharpton.

Now that we have begun to understand his radical character, and have begun to tell the public why we question his character, he, and all his surrogates are showing that all was pretense - he’s just another racist, thin-skinned black activist who can’t take criticism of his character without calling such criticism racist.

Frankly, his radical political character is an embarrassment, to any race.

Meanwhile, the people he calls racist would gladly and enthusiastically support many great African Americans, such as Sowell, Blackwell and Steele.

But you see, to Obama, your support of people like Sowell, Blackwell and Steele does not mean you are not racist; because to people like Obama such noble Black Americans are just Oreos.

Because the Obamabots are desperate. I believe that their internal polls are showing them in a lot weaker position than is being publicized. It’s like the latest hoop-ti-doo about the “rage” at McCain-Palin rallies. It’s another manufactured issue, but it’s being blown all out of proportion by the desperate left.

It’s not Obama’s black skin I object to, it’s his red ideology.

I hope so and I believe that is likely the case. But every time I turn the TV on or listen to the radio its an Obama ad on, the 2003 vote against coal, bashing McCain’s health care plan or whatever the flavor of the day is. I guess McCain is saving for the last 2 weeks but its almost like a continual onslaught of Obama. As for the rage, I’m positive its provocateurs causing the problems they just need to investigate it and show what dirty tactics Obama uses.
