(CNN) Hockey Moms might be the hot political demographic of the moment, but NASACAR Dads haven't been forgotten.
The McCain campaign is moving Sarah Palin's Monday appearance from the Arthur Ashe Center in downtown Richmond, Virginia capacity 6,000 to a much larger outdoor venue: the Richmond International Raceway, which hosts two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races yearly and can accommodate over 100,000 people.
The campaign doesn't expect to fill all those seats, but McCain's mid-Atlantic regional director Trey Walker said the demand for Palin tickets has nearly quadrupled the capacity of the original event site, the Arthur Ashe Center in downtown Richmond.

Ladies, I truly do appreciate the vote of confidence ... but near as I can tell, that's a picture of actor Mark Hamill playing the part of "Luke Skywalker" in the movie "Star Wars".
It never occurred to me to put Sarah Palin's head in there ... but it's not a bad idea!

I’m not involved with the campaign, but I can almost guarantee that Gilmore will be at one or both 10/13 events in Va. Beach and Richmond.

Gilmore was at the Fairfax rally and I’m sure he will be in Richmond ... before the guest(s) of honor arrive, they introduce the local candidates and office holders.

A 100,000-seat arena for a Sarah Palin rally.
According to many around here, it's the last gasps of a dying campaign in a state that Obama's already won. :-D
