To all you lurkers of Free Republic, let me tell you why Ayers MATTERS! The number one job of the President is to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC!!! John McCain gave the best years of his life doing just that. What has Senator Obama done?
Senator Obama launched his political career in the home of a domestic terrorist!!! I know he says that he didn't know at the time (just like he had no idea that Jeremiah Wright was a racist) but what did he do when he found out? Well, allow me to go over it one more time.
Senator Obama sat on a board with, gave speeches with and continued to be friends with Bill Ayers. In fact he continued to have a relationship with him even after, on 9-11-01 no less, Ayers said, "I do not regret setting bombs, we didn't do enough. I wish we had done more.". WHAT????
Now I know that the excuse is, "well there were Republicans on that board, etc..." Well, guess what? They were wrong TOO!!! By his own admission on 9-11-01, William Ayers is still an enemy of the United States of America.
So I ask anyone who is reading this, how can we trust Senator Obama to defend us against terrorism when he is friends with one? How can we trust, as Commander in Chief that he will send or troops to defend this nation? Before even taking the oath of office, Senator Obama has shown that he will not take a stand against terrorism. That is why Senator Obama's relationship with Bill Ayers MATTERS!
If Obama gets elected, we can probably look forward to Ayers being appointed Secretary of Education, and his wife Attorney General. The head of Acorn will be appointed Secretary of HUD. Gore will become Secretary of the Interior or head of the EPA. The head of CAIR will become head of Homeland Security. Raines will head up Treasury. Jeremiah Wright will be tapped for Surgeon General, Farakhan for Secretary of State. Am I forgetting anyone?
Forgot one point: Who will head the Department of Reparations? Jackson? Sharpton?

I hope he tries reparations. It is one of the surest ways to get his presidency to fail.
The conservative Bernard on the Imus show this morning said “how is he going to fight terrorists if he’s friends with one?” That says it all.

Black Muslim lawyer Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour recently made news when it was revealed that he was a patron of Barack Obama and recommended him for admission to Harvard Law School in 1988. Back in the 1960s, al-Mansour, whose “slave name” was then Don Warden, was deeply involved in Bay Area racial politics as founder of a group called the African American Association. A close personal adviser to Huey Newton and Bobby Seale, al-Mansour helped the pair establish the Black Panther Party but later broke with them when they entered coalitions with white radical groups. After becoming a Muslim, al-Mansour found not only an ideological justification for his racism but also a political purpose.
That was, in the words of a memorandum produced by the Muslim Brotherhood and seized by the FBI as part of its probe of the Holy Land Foundation, to “eliminate and destroy the Western civilization from within.” Many black racists like al-Mansour are key figures in this “stealth” jihad, whose prime recruiting grounds are the U.S. prisons and mosques where inmates and worshippers alike are taught to embrace a radical Islam engaged in an apocalyptic battle against America.
Al-Mansour met Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in the mid-1970s and formed a relationship that led to al-Mansour’s hiring as attorney to King Saud. He has since been an adviser to Saudi billionaires who fund the stealth jihad and spread Wahhabi extremism in America. (more..)

Yes you are right.
That line of defense is as stupid as the one my kid gives me when he says, “but they were doing it too”.
Reparations? They are already happening. Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, ACORN...all using our tax dollars.
He’s already on record (at a ‘diversity’ conference earlier this year) as saying he thinks reparations can be accomplished through programs that are not explicitly such. I offer you the subprime mortgage policies of the last 15 years as Exhibit A.
With all due respect, the focus on Ayers the terrorist limits your argument to Obama's bad judgment. That is simply not going to impress very many people. After all, Ayers is not out there throwing bombs any more.
But you are close to the truth.
Ayers is a Marxist. Rev. Wright is a Marxist. Obama's mother was a Marxist. Obama's father was a Marxist and perhaps his grandfather as well. The major political influences on Obama were all Marxist. With Ayers it is not Obama's "failure" to realize that he was a former terrorist. It was his recognition that Ayers wants to destroy the capitalist system and has said so many times that drew them together. They are philosophical brothers and that is problem with Obama. He provided financial support from the foundation that he was running to Ayers to conduct "experiments" in teaching the children of Chicago that their loyalty should be to the United Nations and not the United States. Obama paid for that. Ayers lobbied him to get the money. That is the connection. It is their philosophical agreement on the direction (if not the destruction) of the Untied States of America as we know it.
So forget the terrorist stuff. Old news. The new news is that we have a Marxist 7 points up in the polls and time is running short.
My concern is that if McCain brings up Ayers, then Obama will just say, well then how come Reagan’s best pal Walter Annenberg, a Republican party honcho, hired Ayers to serve on the same board ? I am afraid Obama will say, if Ayers was a terrorist, then why did Republican Annenberg give millions to Ayers’ education board ? I am afraid he will say, then why were a half dozen other Republican politicians serving on the board with us ? Also, we do know that Annneberg’s widow endorsed McCain, right ? Do you see the dangerous territory McCain has waded into ??
Voters are freaking out about the economy and their 401ks, not Ayers.
Who would Obama appoint to the Supreme Court? His wife? Hillary? Bill Clinton?
I believe he is quoted as saying something to the effect that apologies aren’t enough to effect black-white reconciliation. It will need actions also. Perhaps he will turn this over to Michelle like Bill turned healthcare over to Hillary. It would probably have the same result.

What does Obama and Osama have in common?..... Answer: They both have friends who bombed the Pentagon.
Well, it would get the Clintons out of the way politically. I just don’t think Bill will consent to being muzzled and kept from lucrative political activities. I’m not even sure Hillary would want it. Supremes are expected to keep a low profile and are prominent really only to fellow attorneys. Who might he appoint? How about the Missouri DA on his “truth squad”?

Not sure I understand you. What I am saying is that Annenberg, a friend of Reagan and Nixon, a mega-major contributor to the Republicans, had a much closer relationship with Ayers than Obama did. Annenberg gave Ayers 50 million dollars for his education program. And Annenberg’s widow endorsed McCain. Anneberg is NOT a RINO in name only - he advised Reagan.
What I am saying is that if six Republican politicians and Obama and an executive from Exxon all sat on the board on six different occasions - all as volunteers - then can’t you see how Obama would say that the Republicans must be terrorists too because they were on the same board.
I am concerned about the obsession here. I have been out knocking on doors for MccCain and voters are more worried about the economy than Ayers. It’s not getting any traction.
Bill Clinton is disbarred for life, so he can’t be appointed to the Supreme Court.
