I wonder that too but my guess would be...in a general election, it’s between you and God who you vote for once you step in that booth.
In a primary you’re given a certain form with only dems names (or republicans) whichever the case may be...

Why the HELL is the Federal Government paying Acorn to register voters?
Here in Kern County, California, we have volunteers to do that. Haven't we always?
Who the hell choose 'Acorn'?????????????So far they have 2100 fraudulent voter reg forms ............................just in Indiana (according to Fox News).

I am not sure different in states....you can call the vote.gov office. I do think they can right in a candidate...affiliation? good questions
