You have got to be kidding me. Bush signed this? ACORN has been involved in all kinds of fraud allegations for years. This isn’t something we just learned. It was well known last summer also.
Beckel was talking last night like ACORN was some little left wing teeny bopper group. I think that may have been true twenty years ago, but once they started getting funding in amounts with 9 figures, that was over. They’re something else now.

I can confirm that I read that somewhere as well, that it was in the bill passed during the summer, but I don't have a source for you.

Even though it’s a different bailout, ACORN was a major part of this economic crisis, paid for by the tax payer.
