Obama buys airtime on networks for anniversary of Black Tuesday in 1929

Barack Obama is buying a half-hour slot on television networks in prime time Oct. 29, the anniversary of Black Tuesday of 1929, when panic in the stock markets set in ahead of the Great Depression.
Obama, leaving a campaign stop in a diner in Georgetown, Ohio, on Thursday evening, declined to say whether he plans to address the current economic crisis in the context of the depression.
He wouldn’t talk about the nature of the programming, saying, "We’re going to be talking about it tomorrow."
Linda Douglass, a senior adviser to Obama, confirmed Thursday evening that the campaign has bought time on NBC and CBS.
She said the campaign will buy airtime on Fox, unless the network is carrying a World Series game that night, and that no arrangement had been made with ABC.
Douglass also wouldn’t release any information about how much the airtime is costing the campaign or any information about the programming.
The last candidate to make such a purchase was Ross Perot in 1992.
The ads will run six days before the Nov. 4 election, following weeks of economic crisis, including massive stock-market losses, global investor panic and Congress’ passage of a $700 billion bailout for Wall Street.

So let me get this straight. We are going to have a multi-millionaire who is supported by multi-millionaires and billionaires preach to us about The Great Depression and Black Tuesday by purchasing $60 million dollars worth of air time across 3 networks.
A man who is raising and spending around $70 million dollars a month is going to tell us how bad it is out there and why we should follow him.
This stinks to high hell of George Soros.
Too bad McCain didn’t vote “NO” or “abstain” for the bailout.
Cause he could also buy time right after Obama and explain how
Obama’s/FDR’s approach will make sure many more Americans suffer
for a much longer time during this downturn.

McCain raised over 60 million in September...these guys are getting tons of cash to cancel eachother’s message out. McCain lost 1 week of campaigning with his useless stunt of going back to Washington. It bought him nothing in political gain, zero with the media, and zero with polls.
He will have to counter this and do some big time make up for the time he was off the trail. Oh..and he needs to do more than 1 or 2 stops a day. Him and Sarah need to be doing 3-4 stops a day until November 3rd at midnight. Drop the hammer and full speed ahead. No breaks. GO - G0- GO.
That little POS is practically hoping the stock market will die so that he can win the White House.

I don’t think it will work. The Obama supporters will vote for him, no matter what. Republicans wouldn’t vote for him if he promised them the moon.
That leaves fence-sitters and the uncommitted. Get a clue Obama, they’re uncommitted because they’ve spent the last two years of compaigning in a bubble, ignoring anything that sounded remotely political. If they couldn’t sit through a 30 second ad, why would they now sit through 30 minutes of BS?

Certainly one could argue that the stock markets are reacting to the possibility that the party behind this mortgage back security financial crisis is about to be rewarded at the polls.
The guy made his first billions by breaking the bank of England. He is a billionaire with a stated agenda of destroying the US.
Just as physicists know that quarks and muons exist by examining their streaky paths on photographic plates, the streaky paths of Soros are blaring on the "plates" of MSM, the markets, and politics. Instead of muons, we're seeing morons.
Maybe then, a small percentage of Dems will realize that he's not quite right... but then again maybe they won't.
I think that Bill Clinton has his eye on that ruler of the world title. Barry might have a fight on his hands.
He’s probably going to throw Ayres under the bus, along with Rev. Wright and his grandmother. It must be getting a little crowded under that bus.
Oh, he’ll probably say that all the criticism of his relationships is because we are all racists and don’t like people who don’t look like us, or the other guys on the dollar bills.
I guess co-rulers would not work out for those two either.
