The Florida number is a joke. The rallies in some blue areas of Florida were huge. And I mean McCain/Palin rallies.

And now, pissy matthews is worried that people will be afraid to take a chance on Obama. That McCain campaign is making people look backwards.

I swear they are all doing LSD.

Hi--Ditto prayer! God still has enough people to form a remnant whose prayers He will honor.

Received email from a friend who forwarded email from an A/G pastors wife who went to Pensacola with her 2 sisters to see Palin.

The three sisters made their way to the rope where she would enter and leave. As Gov. Palin was leaving, the pastor's wife held up her 3 mo. old daughter and Palin stopped and took the baby to hold her. The mother spoke up to say she was an A/G pastor's wife and they would be praying for her. She only got out that she was an A/G pastor's wife when Palin spoke and cut off the rest of the statement. The woman said the Gov. looked right into her eyes spoke with passion and fervor, saying, "Intercession is the only thing that will get us through this." The pastor's wife said "Amen." and Palin passed on.

So those of us who understand the difference between everyday prayer and intercession need to be doing some fasting and intercessional prayer for our country and for McCain Palin.

Our fore fathers who gave their all to found this country were not ashamed of God or their faith, or moral values. A tiny portion of the population has tried to knock Christianity out of the public square and we need to see its place restored and the founders' values brought bac, to say nothing of saving our country from Marxism.k.

Those polls showed McCain trending upwards.

You see “down 3 in Florida!” and I see “up 5 in Florida in just a few days since the last poll!”

Go on enjoying life with the glass half empty.

I am not saying that all polling firms are pro-Obama but they are using assumptions that are favoring Obama a lot such as the number of democrats versus Republicans in their samples.

If McCain is really 12 points behind in Pennsylvania why would he campaigning there? It is impossible to turn a 12 points deficit in three weeks before the elections. The reason is that McCain is no where near 12 points behind in Pennsylvania let alone Ohio or Florida.

I am living in the most liberal state in the country and I am not seeing enthusiasm to Obama. I talk to democrats and at least 20% of them are not voting for Obama based on my count. I am finding shocking stuff that are 180 degree opposite to what the polls are telling us. Freepers around the country are reporting similar stuff just from daily observations and interactions which in my view are more accurate than any media poll.

WHAT were Gore’s and Kerry’s numbers in FL by this pollster around this time? Just curious.

Please read my post # 31 and # 47. Please cheer up and do not be let down by any poll from any polling firm including those that are on our side.

I work hard to be honest with myself, and I really am not very discouraged. I know anecdotal evidence may not be worth a lot, but....I can’t say where I live, for reasons that could heopardize my job (surprised?), but I live in one of the top liberal hotbeds. There is NO excitement here for Obama, and more excitement for JMac/Sarah than there was for W in either 2000 or 2004. Much of it is that people are learning more about Obama. For instance, my daughter goes to a college here, “Obama country,” right? She says almost all of the students were for Obama, but now some are for McCain or leaning McCain, and others are increasingly curious about just who Obama is. Keep working. Don’t get discouraged.

Like I said before, I hope you are right. While I agree that there are a number of dems that won’t be voting for Obama, I don’t know why none of the polls seem to reflect any real lack of support for him... Even McCain’s camp seems like they are playing from behind (spending lots of time in red states like FL, VA, OH, NC while, pulling out of MI, etc...)

I have always been upfront with my position on polls in here. I take NO single poll as gospel but instead I like to look at a basket of polls and monitor the direction in them. The thing that bothers me about these in particular is that Strategic Vision usually errors on the side of repubulicans (ie best case scenerio). In the past they’ve always shown the republican candidate as having some states in play that weren’t really in play at all (PA, MI, CA, etc..). If they are still erring towards repubs, are these polls best case according to them?

The Florida numbers are a joke.

McCain is probably ahead right now in florida.

I am privy to MANY Miami-Dade County polls. Ususally..the Democrat wins Miami Dade county by a slim margin like 52-48 or 51-49....

The latest polls in Miami dade have it 48-48.

In Broward County (heavy rat county) the Obama GOTV operation is non-existant while the Gore and kerry people were crawling around like cockroaches.

Florida will be in the win column for the good guys.

I’m in FL and I can’t see it going for B. Hussein O. but I’m in a more conservative county.

It’s so frustrating that media propaganda is preventing the truth from coming out. If it did, people would be running for their lives away from Hussein!

President Bush campaigned very hard in all these states in 2004 and all the way till the last day. Let us reverse it and ask why is Obama campaigning hard in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Minnesota f he is really that far ahead according to these polls.

Anyway, I am going to keep my spirit up and work hard on a McCain victory and I hope we all do the same. Always remember President Kerry and President Gore according to the media polls and the exit polls.

Obama will be also the winner of the exit polls but he will suffer the same fate of Kerry and Gore, defeat.

The point is, I question your motives when you ONLY post bad news here for the GOP. You were not so quick to post positive polls yesterday...or ever for that matter.

Rasmussen: Obama 50%, McCain 45% (McCain +1 from yesterday), posted 10/9/08 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2101313/posts

Zogby Tracking: Obama has a slim 2-point lead on McCain, posted 10/8/08 http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2100321/posts

These were posted even though I’m on the road and have somewhat limited access to FR.

Jewish voters in FL, by a large, are concerned about Obama and his Hamas connections.

are you sure about that? just read that Jews in Florida are breaking for Obama...

If they are breaking for Obama they are insane. I think Obama will get less Jewish votes than Kerry did. McCain will not get the majority and he never was but he will get more than Kerry.

I think you’re on to something. There’s enough stuff circulating about Obama, that plenty of folks are noticing. It can’t be ignored.
