This week's Newsweek features an extreme close-up of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin -- a picture so detailed it shows every blemish and wrinkle and even a few wisps of facial hair.
Republican media consultant Andrea Tantaros told Fox News the photo is "a clear slap in the face" at Palin.
An official with the magazine told the TV show "Access Hollywood" that the picture was cropped to accentuate Palin's smile.
The story behind the cover isn't very flattering either. The headline reads: "She's One of The Folks (And that's the problem)."

Oh I don’t know. It makes her more real to me. No airbrush or gauze. She is a naturally beautiful over 40 lady.
I really see nothing wrong with it. But I bet we would never see Michelle Obama this close! I would be askerd!

The guy from Fox News “Red eye” show was on Fox and Friends this morning and he pointed out that he spent 20yrs in the print media and they would NEVER do such a thing to the Obamao, they would have airbrushed out the blemishes.
For me, I hope it is a best seller, more Palin Please.
Just be thankful that Madeline Albright or Helen Thomas never got the same treatment.

That’s a problem in America? Whatever else you say about Barack Obama, you can’t say that he’s “one of the folks”.
This bias photography has been going on for decades. They know it has an impact. Another deliberate and dishonest lib 'trick' to affect the outcome of an election.

Must really bother them that she looks that good even close up! LOL!!! Another example of the media acting like unruly children. They really need to grow up, this country has serious issues that should be getting the attention.

Leave it to the intellectual elites to insult the “folks” standing in line at the supermarket checkout reading that headline. They really DO look down on America, except for the “beautiful people” in NY and LA. “We” folks are just too dumb and unsophisticated to be in charge of our own country.
When I saw the headline, I never even noticed the picture that much, just saw red!
Yes, that is what happens when we age. But you don’t do that kind of a picture. It is real bad form, despite her still looking great.
I wonder if the drive-bys realize that when Civil War II starts they’ll be first.....
