WASHINGTON, October 8, 2008Accuracy in Media announced today the launch of its new website, Boycott The New York Times (http://BoycottNYT.com). AIM, which has monitored The New York Times for nearly 40 years, is encouraging news consumers to boycott the most powerful media voice in America to protest its persistent leftist bias.
The Times has, over the course of decades, blatantly distorted the news to advance an ideological agenda, notes Don Feder, the editor of the Boycott The New York Times website. The Times persistent bias is reflected in its double standard in coverage of liberals and conservatives, its misreporting of election news, the hidden assumptions that underlie news stories and in the palpable imbalance in commentary. While The Times is notorious for editorials thinly disguised as news coverage, during a presidential election, its fangs really come out.
Feder added, When a company manufactures dangerously defective products, despite repeated warnings, consumer advocates have both a right and a duty to organize a boycott. The Times is manufacturing a product (news coverage), which is both defective and dangerous. By boycotting The New York Times, we are refusing to do business with a company that is undermining our values, our society and our nation.

I thought that was Rush Limbaugh.
A statement that even Ralph Nader would agree with.
I, and others have boycotted all liberal “news” for decades now, slowly but surely people are turning to the alternative media.
Once one of the networks really starts to crumble an enterprising billionaire or group need to buy it and openly say this is the RIGHT WING alternative to all the other stations. You will get the right wing point of view, if you would like the left wing point of view you have tons of other channels to choose from.
I don’t understand why my sister and her husband still buy this rag on the weekends. Oh yeah, they are dims and they still need catbox liners.
There is no bias at the NYT. Period.
Bias is a concept associated with the expectation of jounalistic objectivity.
The marketing firm New, York and Times packages ad copy as journalism to fraudulently lend credibility to the “story”.
“Bias” is a red herring, a complete waste of neural activity. Call the wing outlets what they are, a network of marketing firms owned by the parent company Main, Stream and Media.
Regards . . . Penny
I love to stop in at Starbucks and cover the NYT with the local rag, preferably 3 copies deep.
The Main Stream Media is the marketing arm of the Democrat Party.
Exactly my point, except your statement is much more concise.
