Under Obama's guidance the left is becoming more and more open -- bragging, even -- about their true, ugly socialism. To the point where they're quite comfortable in publically condemning Christians who think babies shouldn't be killed in utero. People who believe in the 2nd amendment. People who educate their children outside the confines of a government facility. All these things, they find threatening. UnAmerican.

We are on the precipice, folks. And I do mean, of the abyss.

Couldn't have said it better myself. They're already making the "Michael Malone" character look subtle, an understatement even. If Obama's elected with a filibuster-proof senate I can't imagine what lengths they'll go to in order to erradicate all of these "un-American" (translation; distinctly and traditionally American) things they find threatening. We won't recongize our own country 4 years from now if that's the case, and we won't be welcome here at all in 8 years if things continue along that path.

I completely agree with you! The only thing I would suggest is that we all stop using their “pretty word” of socialism. They are NOT socialists. They are Communists, no ifs, ands, or buts!

Remember - Socialism and Communism are the same ideology. However, Socialism ADMINISTERED through a centralized government is NOT socialism, it is COMMUNISM. Once we get people to make that connection our job will be immensely easier because in the majority of Americans minds Communism still equals EVIL. They are tricked by the “soft word” socialism.

An example: Chavez calls himself a “socialist”, and calls what he has done in Venezuela “socialism”, however it is the very definition of COMMUNISM - complete and total control by the government of all aspects of society from education, to the media, to corporations, etc... etc...

I know we don’t have much time, but I truly think we really need to start pushing this point. Another term would be Marxist/Leninist. People don’t understand why “socialism” is bad - but they DO still know about Communism. At the very least anyone around 30-35 and older remembers very clearly the Soviet Union, the Cold War, the threats of Nuclear War, and Reagan and Thatcher. And that is something we can build on...

All JMHO, and just a request, but I truly think it will help if we all start calling them what they really are...
