Having two enemy fight against each other can often cause them both to turn their unprotected flanks in the direction of your own advance. Defeat both. Spare neither.

It is too easy to get lost in short term goals and give away the war for the sake of an easier victory in only one battle out of many that need to be won.

Enemy is enemy.

If only John McCain could get his brain around that fact. We and he have ENEMIES in the US Congress. You do not compromise with enemies. You crush them. George Bush would have had a great 8 years if he could have made this distinctiion.
