Mass Fraud Fears In US Election (Obama's ACORN)
Sky News ^ | October 09, 2008 | James Cheyne

US election officials believe they have uncovered massive attempted voter fraud less than a month before the country goes to the polls to choose its new president.

Eleven separate investigations have now been launched into a voter registration group called the Association of Community Organisations for Reform – or Acorn.

The authorities believe they may have duplicated voter forms, employed convicts to register people and even stolen the names of the American football team the Dallas Cowboys in order to create fake voters.

The suspicions started when authorities in Las Vegas raided the organisation's offices, removing eight computer hard drives and several boxes of documents.

Acorn called the raid "a stunt that serves no useful purpose other than discredit our work".

They suggested the investigations into them were politically motivated.

But the concerns about dodgy election papers started to spread to other states.

Authorities in Indiana said they had concerns about roughly a thousand voters registered by the group there.

And Fox News reporters in the state of Missouri found 10 registration documents with the same name and signature.

Acorn has registered up to 1.3 million voters across the US so far.

They have offices in 41 states and Washington DC and focus on low income, African American and Latino communities.

They claim to be a politically neutral organisation but many commentators describe them as left wing.

And their workers have been found guilty of voter fraud in the past.

Last year five Acorn employees were sent to prison in Washington State after they went into the Seattle public library and used records to create 1,800 fake registration documents.

Before the raid in Las Vegas, lawyers acting for the state authorities tracked down former Acorn workers.

1500 quatloos that it’s blown off.

Triskelionese, are you?

Or maybe "quatloo" refers to a British 4-hole outhouse.

That's why the Democrats and Obama tried to prevent mccain from going back to washington to deal with the bail out emergency. They tried to put an earmark on the bill to give ACORN 25% of all the loans the government bought back. Would have given Acorn BILLIONS.

Thank goodness mcCain stopped that bill. That's why Media attacked mcCain a day later trying to make it look like he was for passing the bill.

I think that is really when the wheels started falling off Obama's wagon.

It’s kind of funny to hear ACORN claim to be a non-partisan group, but then hear them at their 2006 general meeting that “the Republicans Stole the election”, and “we want a new America” and “we are going to elect a NEW President, and his name is Barak Obama”.

They were going to do it with massive election fraud.

come on.. you've been here for a while... you know how this will play.

the MSM will not even acknowledge it. and if they do, it will be at 3am in order to avoid be accused of burying it.

then there will be some other event that the MSM will cover 24x7 like rabid dogs... thereby sweeping this under the rug... kind of like they did this week after the aires reports on sunday. (crater the markets on monday.. that pushed everything from the front page)

I'm not naive, and I know that the chances are good that it will play out exactly as you described. I'm hoping that there will be enough legal action taking by Nevada, fed gov, whoever, to force this into the spotlight and get some high-level organizers perp walked. I know that at least Fox News would cover it well (they are already on the story), so it couldn't be completely swept under the rug. Yes, a long shot, but I have to have some optimism or I might just drink the hemlock and get it over with.

I’m hopeful that Obama’s correction to his FEC filing will become a direct link to this fraud. If I remember correctly, they corrected their FEC filling in regards to an $800,000 payment to Acorn for Get Out The Vote Activities. Then revised it to be for Event Planning, advance work, etc.

Wouldn’t it be sweet irony if America’s best-known community organizer was brought down by ACORN?

Yes it would. But I'm not holding my breath for a three column, page 1 story on the NYT....even if they found video of Ø, himself, committing the fraud.
