Barack Obama does not want to talk about Columbia. Not even to his good friends at the New York Times, who’ve so reliably helped him bleach away his past — a past neck-deep in the hard Left radicalism he has gussied up but never abandoned.
Why? I suspect it is because Columbia would shred his thin post-partisan camouflage.
You might think the Times would be more curious. After all, the Democrats’ presidential nominee has already lied to the Gray Lady about the origins of his relationship with Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. Back in May, in a cheery profile of Obama’s early Chicago days, the Times claimed
Mr. Obama also fit in at Hyde Park’s fringes, among university faculty members like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, unrepentant members of the radical Weather Underground that bombed the United States Capitol and the Pentagon to protest the Vietnam War. Mr. Obama was introduced to the couple in 1995 at a meet-and-greet they held for him at their home, aides said.
Now look, anyone who gave five seconds of thought to that passage smelled a rat. Ayers and Dohrn are passionate radical activists who lived as fugitives for a decade. There’s no way they held a political coming-out party for someone who was unknown to them. Obviously, they already knew him well enough by then to feel very comfortable. They might have been sympathetic to a relative stranger, but sponsoring such a gathering in one’s living room is a strong endorsement.
And now, even the Times now knows it’s been had. In this past weekend’s transparent whitewashing of the Obama/Ayers tie, the paper claimed that the pair first met earlier in 1995, “at a lunchtime meeting about school reform in a Chicago skyscraper[.]” That storyline is preposterous too

i don’t understand how anyone in this age could attend a university and someone not remember him.
Perhaps it would be worthwhile, if it has not already been done, if someone in NYC would go to Columbia’s Library and go through any microfiche copies of school newspapers while Obama and professor Said were both there.
He prolly got all D’s and the good fraternities made him join the fraternity with all the nerds.
I suspect it is because (1) his application lists him as muslim, (2) his application lists his citizenship as indonesian and/or kenyan, (3) it will shed light on and open a discussion on the affirmative action programs that got him to where he is now

Edward Said is hard core. Could Obama’s Columbia thesis be on Said? Alinsky? Wasn’t Hilary’s hard to find thesis on Alinsky?

Are you kidding?...The MSM doesnt hold Obama up to any standard and the people hardly know anything about him yet they are voting for him anyway...It is disgraceful the way the liberal MSM are covering for him...

How does The O convince a large student body, alumni base, faculty, maintenance staff, etc. to keep their collective mouths shut for two years while he runs for president? This is mind boggling!
It’s amazing that of the hundreds of people in Obama’s class at Columbia contacted by Fox News, no one could remember him.
I remember reading that Columbia had (and may still have) an independent study-type program that was originally developed for affirmative action students who thereby had an alternative to trying to compete for grades in the regular classes. Under the program, a student would work independently under a certain professor following a curriculum designed by the professor for that student.
Was Obama in such a program with Said as his professor? Is that why no one remembers, why he avoids discussing his classwork at Columbia, and how he became close to Said?
I was a year ahead of The Obama. I don’t remember him, and no one I know from there remembers him.
OTOH, I am just one friend away from George Stephanopoulous, whom I never met at Columbia.

and he learned of the Buddha teachings(who appeared more tha 500 years previous) and brought the teachings of the Buddha , namely DISAVOWING MATERIAL POSESSIONS and caring about OTHER before ONESELF

I also seem to recall reading somewhere that Obama was involved in some of the left-wing activities down at Cooper Union.
These commies are always endlessly chronicling everything they do and their absurd contrived grievances in their little newsletters and magazines.
I’ll bet Obama would surface somewhere, if we could find the right sources from that time.

Obama probably sent his version of Sandy Burglar to the U to spirit out anything harmful to him. This will keep the Left as busy as the Bimbo Eruptions that kept popping up like prairie dogs during the Clinton years, kind of like 8 years of a continuous Whack-A-Mole game.
Maybe they all have the same “handler!” Ayers, Said, and the Obomba.
