At the heart of the financial meltdown now bedeviling Americans is a simple and profoundly ignored fact that does not require an advanced degree in economics to understand: Our government spends more than it takes ina lot more.
Sure, regulators could have done a better job but, in truth, politicians at every level have frustrated attempts to blow the whistle on bad loans, bad reporting and bad ethics. Why? Because politicians have been buying our votes with our moneyand our future earningsfor a long time. And they don't want any interference from those they are "helping."
It's not just the naked bribes represented by "earmarks" for hometown voters; it is new entitlement programs like the prescription drug benefit, new rules governing the behavior of favored banks and investment houses and a headlong rush to buy the votes of the poor by guaranteeing home ownership, irrespective of one's financial ability to repay a loan. Lest we forget, let's also add up all the special tax breaks for favored contributors that have bloated income tax code rules to 67,500 pages. It's a bi-partisan betrayal of our future cloaked as concern for the common good.
Although our nation was founded on the principle that the citizen was sovereign, government spending increases and more and more taxes taken from our earnings, savings and investments have effectively transformed the American citizen into a serf working another's land for the privilege of taking a fraction of the fruits of his or her own labor.

The best thing about FairTax is ending the haggling over deductions and various tax breaks, which essentially democratizes our tax laws since no lobbying group can warp the tax laws to their own selfish advantage in terms of income to the government.
This article hits the nail squarely on it’s head but I suspect that most won’t even bother to read it and those that do will largely continue on their merry way having given little thought to what has happened to them.
If we don’t want the perps who helped and let all this happen to get into the WH, then we damn well better step up to the plate.
Too many nattering nabobs and not enough willing to take action. WE are the US in the U.S. - A country OF, FOR and BY the people.
But too many of us sit back and cluck about “Why doesn’t he/she (McCain) do this, say that! It’s like expecting GEn. Petreaus to win the war without any troops at his back.
The “US” finally got off their duffs a couple weeks ago and made themselves heard on the economic crisis. EVERYone is now paying attention to it. HOWEVER, WE are letting the MSM and obaminites point the finger of blame at McCain, even though he is one that tried to stop is long before it ot to this point.
We have a golden opportunity today to let people know where the real culprits are and who has been a leader in the fiasco. Today, the news is playing the extensive voter fraud perpetrated _ as every election year - by ACORN.
Now let’s tell them, in Obama’s own words to ACORN just last Nov,,what he actually DID as a community organizer regarding ‘voter registration training’ and then, as a lawyer who won the case against citibank to FORCE them to take the NINJA (no income no job) loans...these got switched over to F & F. (Any wonder that obama is the second largest beneficiary of F & F?)
We have a window of oportunity here, Freepers. may be our last one. Are we willing to put forth a little effort to keep our freedoms?
Let’s email this link an quote to the regulars.
Quote: Ive been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career. Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work. Barack Obama, Speech to ACORN, November 2007
Remember the formula of the networks: The office people that screen the emails only pass them on when they get X-amount on a given subject.
So this is OUR part - WE the PEOPLE - in protecting our freedoms.

Be sure to add your name and town and email - or they wont read them.
IMPORTANT when emailing. they wont read mass emails - SO,
put just one email add in the to line then click on BBC at the end of that line. a BCC line will open just above subject line. copy paste the rest of the addresses in there and each recipient will see ONLY their name - and in the subject line make reference to ACORN FRAUD OBAMA OWN WORDS
Lets make it happen. This is our part in protecting our freedoms = WE THE PEOPLE - we act now or get ready for Jack Boots and Brown Shirts...Obama already has his personal police force plans ready
copy the email addresses for use for the rest of the campaign

This is correct. Conservatives can begin in small town America - Local > Then State> then Federal.

nattering nabobs
Wow, been a long time since I heard that!
LOL
WEll, I've been around "a long time".
And I have NEVER been more afraid over an election.
I guess that comes from having been around long enough - I voted for Ike - to see a lot of elections and to've read enough of the history of the rise and fall of civilizations of the past and what led to their downfall.
I have NEVER been more afraid over an election, too.
That drip drip drip of socialism has brought us to this. But is this the ‘tipping point’?
My 88 y.o. German mother told me tales of the Third Reich. I often wondered what I would do if anything like that would happen here. So many similarities in this election to those times to her. (Although Obama doesn’t have ‘world conquest on his agenda.LOL)
One thing she told me was to register as a democrat. She went through hard times by refusing to join the party.
There are enough of us who love freedom in this country to bring us out of what is coming, but what will be on the other side.
