(NASHVILLE, TENN.) - After most of the previous 12 months covering Barack Obama's campaign for the presidency, it was interesting, instructive and, well, relaxing to follow John McCain for the last few days. The differences between the two are striking.

Imagine an Obama world - his brother lives in filth, his “housing projects” in Chicago are rat infested, the garden he spent taxpayer’s money on is dirt and weeds, and his campaign bus stinks....

ListenUp, SierraWasp. Some of us Freepers smoke too. That doesn’t amount to a “hanging offense” the way his drift to marxist/socialist policies do.
Some of us old smokers are so dang nervous that this fool might be elected, we ought to sue him for our escalating habit!

Look, the reporters and the MSM are all in the tank for Obama. They know it and he knows it. No matter how bad the Obama campaign is run, or how bad the plane smells, they, the reporters, are still going to write glowing articles about THE ONE. So why should the Obama campaign spend any extra money cleaning the plane, providing the press with any perks, etc. when the campaign can use that cash to buy more votes in Ohio, Indiana, Missouri, and other so-called swing states?
To: illiac
Obama’s plane smells terrible? What can you expect, it’s obviously full of bovine excretion.

He runs his campaign like he would run the country. Doubtless true.
Recall that Clinton's campaign was described very much the same way: chaos. But a "charming chaos", of course.
Once in office, he was good for maybe two hours of legitimate work a day. Everything had to happen in the morning, because he wanted his afternoons free -- for naps, golf, whatever.
It was only later that we discovered that afternoons were being employed to diddle an intern.

The McCain campaign plane is better than Obama's, which is cramped, uncomfortable and smells terrible most of the time. Somehow the McCain folks manage to keep their charter clean, even where the press is seated. The other day in Albuquerque, N.M., the reporters were given almost no time to file their reports after McCain spoke. It was an important, aggressive speech, lambasting Obama's past associations. When we asked for more time to write up his remarks and prepare our reports, the campaign readily agreed to it. They understood.
Similar requests are often denied or ignored by the Obama campaign aides, apparently terrified that the candidate may have to wait 20 minutes to allow reporters to chronicle what he's just said. It's made all the more maddening when we are rushed to our buses only to sit and wait for 30 minutes or more because nobody seems to know when Obama is actually on the move.
The MSM has limits I guess... Obama's people are coming across as heavy handed - not too surprising.

Press = more useful idiots soon to be thrown under the bus
Obama has big plans for the MSM when he becomes president.
Unfortunately, they aren’t going to know what hits them. They have made a mockery of “the free press” and will reap the whirlwind.
Commies have a special way of dealing with the media.
To: tuckrdout
Then why do the reporters cover for Obama? They want a paycheck. If they don't knuckle under and suck up like the MSM bosses want, they don't get paid.

Obama will hire his own new “Obama squad street goons”, and they will probably buy, and sell crack for him.
You know what? I bet whoever it was in the Clinton camp was being honest when he said obama sold dope.
Probably did in new York. Thats what they don’t want to talk about.
