Ha!

Sali is my favorite Republican. He gets more whacko liberal whining letters to the editor in our local paper than anyone in history. Those letters are usually 'major panties scrunched - high pitched squeal' for his voting NO on one more save the world guvmint program to spend our money on some needy little group of needies.

My kind of politician. He actually ran on smaller government! Imagine, doing what he said he would. Pure bonus pleasure that he drives the libs around here NUTS!!

They tried this baloney last time, too. Didn’t work then, won’t work now.

Minnick is also trying to fool voters into thinking that Sali still owes money from his ‘06 campaign, didn’t report anything to the FEC, and he is one of those politicians who mixed in earmarks.

This as opposed to the burning desire to be Nancy Pelosi and Steny Hoyer’s useful idiot lapdog.

My grandparents get apoplectic when they read the Idaho Mistakesman, for a whole host of reasons, that in particular. I keep telling them they should cancel their subscription, but I suppose one gets set in their ways in their old age?

Lewiston Trib is the same way as the Statesman. Our little local paper is pretty good, I get amusement from the letters.

Best thing with Sali is he actually personally answers letters. I was amazed at that. Craig and Crapo both send gobs of form responses that often don't answer a letter sent to them. Sali bears down and gives a good answer. I appreciate it.

Thanks for the ping. Sali’s all right in my book. If they were all like that we wouldn’t be hoping that someone as decidedly counter-conservative as McCain gets elected because the alternative is worse. IMHO.

I've met Bill Sali on more than one occasion, and he seems like a nice enough guy. Maybe he's "mean and nasty" because he doesn't vote for all those compassionate entitlement programs.

It’s just too bad Sali is only able to represent half of the state. I don’t know what the hell to do about the 2nd district, maybe that’s a lost cause with Simpson being, as you put it, a “counter-conservative” RINO?

I think that "reputation" for Sali got started in the '06 GOP Primary where the other RINOs in the race (save for perhaps Robert Vasquez) all complained after they lost to an actual conservative. Of course, the bitching became even louder when the Club for Growth campaigned for Sali, saying that they "shouldn't get involved in 'local' politics." Funny, I've never heard that mentioned about Moveon.org...

The biggest liberal in Jackson Hole Wyoming registers as a republican so he can start groups with like-minded busybody's and run campaigns saying "republicans against so and so". I don't think that these disingenuous, lying bastards do democracy any good.

God Love Vern Bisterfeldt, but given that he’s the Treasurer for the re-election of Branden Durst (D-18) and is supporting Democrat David Langhorst for County Commissioner his Republicanism thing is wearing thin.
