Some farmer owns a big tract of land right in East Granby center, across from the post office on Route 20 (aka "Turkey Hills Road"). The farmer always has Republican political signs posted on his land every two years.
He has 4-6 McCain/Palin signs, along with the local pol signs posted all along his land, with his cattle grazing in the background. Thousands of cars pass this spot every day... love it! :o)

Part of Tarriffville is "quaint", I suppose, but - at the risk of sounding like an elitist - I have to say that the Obama signs are in front of the "dumpier" houses.
Yet I've seen many Obama signs in Rhode Island (Labor Day weekend) in front of beautiful mansions on the ocean as well...
I'd love to see McCain get Connecticut - and a few Dems retire from the state house and state senate -- and Courtney and Murphy retire.
Unfortunately I think Courtney and Murphy are probably safe, but I think it's very possible that McCain could take Connecticut...
