You could have just ignored this thread. Instead, you showed up to intentionally act like a punk. Therefore, I'm treating you like one.
I beg your pardon, I was under the impression that this was an independent, grass-roots conservatism forum. I didn't realize that supporting grass-roots conservatism on a vanity thread on FR would be equated with smacking beehives.

Obama’s GOTV efforts were not exactly stellar in the big primary states such as PA and Ohio, either. His organization was much better in the caucus states than the primary states (where he totally out-organized the Hillary forces and piled up lots of delegates in lots of states that he has no chance of winning). The guy couldn’t even win Indiana even though a good chunk of the state are suburbs of Chicago.

That might be a good argument if you actually were supporting conservatism.

I've got two Dems that I'm particularly good friends with, and I'm working on getting them to vote Republican, or at least, not Democrat.
They're both pretty darn rational....not sure why they vote Democrat to begin with. Presenting a cogent argument as to why McCain is a good choice (NOT why Obama is a bad one) is working pretty well.
More important, I think that I've got them swung around on the local elections. Of course, the entire local Democrat power structure is really corrupt and in hot water, so that's not much of stretch there. "The Republican isn't on the take" is just about all the argument I need. :-)

That link has become one of my favorite resources (along with the electoral map showing Kerry leading Dubya 307-211) of this election season. It’s absolutely devastating to the mindless posts such as Cold Heat’s.

More wishful thinking on your part No....Not wishful at all. Just a real comment on current realities.
The party apparatus chose a defensive measure to try to hold on to their dwindling power and remaining seats. They conceded this election the very moment they decided to push John McCain into the lead and they did this knowing that they would likely lose.
All that remains to done, is for all to do the same, and build defenses. Rat hole food, ammo and anything you can use for barter in preparation for a very difficult era.
When the voting stupids discover that "HOPE" was only a euphemism for another four letter word called "HELL", the result will be chaos.
All this has been in the cards for the past four or five years that I have been warning about it, and it's coming like a freight train with no operator. The track can carry it in only one direction and that is all I am saying.

I SPEAK TO PEOPLE REGULARLY (WITH OUT GETTING IN THEIR FACE) AND EXPLAIN IN LOGICAL WAYS THE FUNDAMENTAL DIFFERENCES BETWEEN OBAMA (SOCIALISM) AND MCCAIN (CAPITALISM).
God bless you, SIR!

Thank you very much for the challenge. I totally agree.
Today I am praying and fasting for McCain/Palin, for America. I am preparing to run the booth Saturday at Farmer’s Market — got the McC/P yard signs, which people are gobbling up at record speed. Am hitting up sponsors so we can give the tshirts away.
And I am trying NOT to read the polls and stay focused on the goal.

I will be glad to debate which one of us has a mind that actually works. Get back to me if you have a sudden breakthrough. I'll be here with KESG and a few others discussing actual data and efforts to promote conservative causes and candidates.
Scratch that. Don't get back to me. Just go away.

I'm supporting Chuck Baldwin.
I don't consider conservatism as just anything to the right of the most liberal senator in congress.

Thank you.
All of us need to ask this question everyday.
we can win it.
FIGHT!

Im buying another Glock, a bunch of ammunition and surrounding my house with electrified barbed wire. Jackbooted Obamatons will be shot on sight.
Thanks for getting my shopping list started for me. ;-) I am inspired to help out the economy a bit by following your suggestions.

And I am trying NOT to read the polls and stay focused on the goal. Thanks, bboop, for running that booth. I imagine you will be pleased with the response you receive, especially regarding Gov. Palin.
Go ahead and look at the polls! Today's Diaego Hotline has Obama only ahead by one point. And that's with a tie among men (Republicans almost always win among men). Just remember, polls are NOT Gospel, and they are only part of the picture.
I think Obama's campaign is based on smoke and mirrors, and I think come Nov. 4th it will all come crashing down around him.

I'd like to make a plea to all the Republicans out there who have prominently displayed yard signs for their local alderman, congressman, etc, but who don't have ANY McCain/Palin signs!
I've seen numerous yards around my section of NW Illinois like this - while supporting our local people is important, how about a little support for the national ticket? Hmmm?
