So let's look at this article. In addition to the above states, it also mentioned NC.
So we have spending in FL, OH, IN, VA, NC, MI, PA, WI
Red font indicates 2004 GOP states, blue equals Dem states that same year. Of those states, two (NC, 12 and IN, 21) were won by double digits, and VA was won by 9 points. So those three are very tough hills for the Obamessiah to climb. That leaves five legitimately "up for grab" states. Three blue, two red. Does this sound like an Obama campaign that's running away with this race? Not hardly.
There are some other smaller states like NH, NM, NV and IA. And where is Colorado, supposedly Obama's big win?
Smoke and mirrors.
In post #17 I meant this to read these smaller states, while not covered in this article about TV ads, are nonetheless still up for grabs. MN, with I think 10 electoral votes, is in this group, too.
Yep!
You can't pull in big crowds like Palin is in Florida and say that this state is in the bag for Obama!
Hockey Pucks and Moosepoop!
Ha, I still think McCain wins Florida BIG TIME!
You are so right! The amount of money being spent in these states by Obama speaks volumes. Obama’s burn rate has to be extremely high. Since he didn’t take federal funding and the DNC is way behind in donations, he is going to be going way in debt for the ads or cutting back. I think they are still running so many ads not to admit some states are out of reach.
Liddy Dole in NC was up +1 in a poll today so my guess is that NC will soon be out of reach for Obama. No way Obama wins Indiana with the new voting that requires a picture ID — no more Chicago thugs coming into Gary IN to vote.
