Exactly. McCain shouldn't have to work hard for North Carolina.

I read yesterday that North Carolina has had 600,000 new voters registered this year.

Six hundred thousand new voters in a state that Bill Clinton once lost by only 20,000 votes.

About half of those new voters have registered Democrat, about a third Independent, leaving only about 20% for the Republicans and all the other parties (Libertarians, Green, etc.)

I would love to know what the GOP "get out the vote/register voters" plan has been this cycle.

McCain need only make one visit there and he could do that on a swing from VA to FL. Palin should be there a couple more times.
