PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

The Luntz group almost always says the exact opposite of what really happened.

It’s unbelievable.

I had on CSPAN and when the camera went out you could see McCain talking to people which they never showed.

Biased reporting as usual. This was unlike any Town Hall format I have ever seen.

Oh common sandy. It's Drudge.

I thought it was pretty boring.

Both did good in their own way.

No mention of Obama's socialistic and communist henchmen. Darn.

The Luntz groups are a big joke and totally predictable. Haha, Brit Hume just looked like he couldn’t believe that group’s response.

McCain had a very weak start on the economy, but he finished very strong on foreign policy. Some stretches were brilliant about Russia and Afghanistan/Iraq. All in all it was at least a break even for McCain. But he really needs more than that.

The way the media was disppointed over him NOT attacking Obama made the whole thing almost seem like a set up. I tink the media was all ready for wall to wall criticism of McCain for attacking Obama, and when he did not, they almost seemd as if they did not know what to say or talk about.

The Left dominated Schools and the Left dominated Media have brainwashed our nation.

We have a nation of idiots who will be dazzled by the shiny object, and not anything of substance.

I fear for our country. I really do.

Aren’t cookies carbs?

Yes, but I think we should work to get them qualified as a vegetable. They are vital to life.

My maine coon loves baked potatoes.

That is so funny! Maine coons are adorable but huge!!

“McCain demonstrated tonight, that in these peripous times, that Obama is not ready nor fit to lead this nation.”

Obama did that all by his lonesome.
Annnnnnd, AAAAAAh, Ugggggh, SSSSSSs.
Imagine President Obama addressing the country on 9/11-Ugggggh, ahhhhhh, blank stare ,expectoration sounds.
McCain may not have brought his A game, but, thankfully Obama stunk.

As I understand it the McCain Team is betting the election on their ability to paint Obama as a radical, far left politician who cannot be trusted with the power of the Presidency. If so, they missed their chance tonight. Obama looked good, at least good enough. McCain looked OK but he certainly did not attack Obama where he is clearly vulnerable. And the Global Warming business by McCain was just sickening.

I'm puzzled to say the least. I really don't get it.

Yeah, that’s a high-quality voter right there. I wonder how representative he is of the “undecideds” at this point. Probably very.
