PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE #2 LIVE THREAD
10/07/08

Posted on 10/07/2008 2:01:24 PM PDT by TornadoAlley3

While the two presidential candidates, Senators John McCain and Barack Obama, prepare for their second debate on Oct. 7 at Belmont University in Nashville, Tom Brokaw gets to sift through questions submitted by you. In addition to queries from a group randomly selected by the Gallup organization, Brokaw will be fielding questions submitted online at mydebates.org, the site created by the Commission on Presidential Debates and Myspace. The focus of the town hall-style debate will be domestic and foreign policy, Brokaw's specialties.

Maybe with Democrats. People that get their rocks off by listening to politicians bash corporations and “rich people” are going to vote Obama anyway. McCain isn’t winning any votes by going down that road.

Only three individuals associated with the US Presidential race have been validated based upon past experience and behavior.

Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin as LEADERS.
and
Ayers as a terrorist bomber.

[Think about it:
Obama and Osama bin Ladin both are friends with
people who bombed the US Pentagon]

lol...You actually think McCain has been the ‘best candidate ever at running against the DBM’? OK...we will have to agree to disagree on that one.

He has done a few things that were brilliant in that regard...but the best way for him to run ‘against the media’ tonight is to go straight to the American people and tell them what happened to our economy and whose fault it is! My prayers are with him and this country tonight...make no mistake.

FRegards.

“... handful of FReepers as the moderators...”
Yup - great idea.
Can we bar the doors and turn out the lights too?

Jim Lehrer (PBS, Democrat): "Tom Brokaw was chosen because he is the best, most impartial, moderator EVER."
[(thinks) He was chosen because he maintains the coverup of financial
and political connections of we in the media, and lies like a rug.]

I think Obama should start the debate with his rendition of the Islamic call to prayer:

February 27, 2008

Barack Obama and the Muslim call to prayer

On this day in 2007, Barack Obama said the Muslim call to prayer is "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth."  In an interview with The New York Times, Senator Obama recited, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent," the opening lines of this prayer:

"Allah is Supreme!  Allah is Supreme!
Allah is Supreme!  Allah is Supreme!
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that there is no god but Allah
I witness that Muhammad is his prophet... "

ACORN. Pay no attention to those search warrants in Nevada today... Seizures of documents. Multiple registrations. Phony registrations... Silly rumors and overblown, naturally

Here’s a better drinking game during the debate.

Everyone takes a shot everytime Obama mentions the word “change”.

If the words were things like "unalienable," "posterity," "republic," and "God," you'd almost certainly end up cold sober. (That includes from McCain.)

Birds of a feather flock together...Obama, Ayers, Wright Pflieger....on and on.

Prayers for a good debate by McCain.

Oh..I agree...but his advisors must be telling him otherwise. I loved it when he finally came out swinging this week though. I pray he pulls no punches on Obama tonight!
