Done. It’s a runaway for McCain.
As of my vote, it is for McCain by 56%
56% to 40% in McCain’s favor . This is interesting , as AOL is overwhelmingly Leftist .
I voted for Cynthia McKenny of the Green Party just to see if my vote registered. Not yet.
“56% to 40% in McCains favor . This is interesting , as AOL is overwhelmingly Leftist.”
I’ve been wondering about that, too.
Actually AOL has been running these polls for a while, they reset them now and then and every time McCain has been well ahead. Which really makes me DOUBT BIG TIME the polls like Gallup, Rasmussen etc... as being accurate.
Personally, I dont take to poll voting. I think they are a waste of time. Not once have I been asked to participate in a poll. They are like any statistical gather... Anything can be tipped one way or another by whomever is running it. It assists in giving false hope and thus hinders an outcome. If people see that their candidate in winning, then why go to the poll and press the button, especially with the undecided. Would rather and wait till actual Election time, then hit them with it. Once again... this is where the Electorial College needs to be abolished. Great when it was needed during the pony express era, but with technology and the immediate communications network currently in use... We need popular vote.
MICHIGAN
McCain 52%
Obama 43%
with 2,316 votes
That is correct . McCain has been consistently ahead in these AOL polls . The exception was near the debates when the Dims unleashed their pollbots .
The reason I give these polls a bit of credence is that they do it state by state and the red and blue states mirror the typical breakdown .
Also, something has to be said for online polls because of the fact that people answer honestly when it is just them and their computer, and tend to lie when asked by a real person. (Of course they are not accurate when the pollbots get to them as mentioned) That is why I think the voting booth is where McCain will gain, there it is just the voting machine and the voter, no one to judge them, and that is why the polls are nonsense to me (I am a pollster for a private company and I STILL think they are inaccurate)
The problem with this poll is that it is limited to AOL subscribers. Remember, the Literary Digest poll in 1936 had Al Landon winning by a landslide.
Done!
I know. This is not the first time i have seen am AOL poll running in favor of mcPalin.
It would be great if AOL turns out to be the best indicator of the result.
The drudge polls go pretty heavily towards mcPalin, too.
Maybe when you remove the MSM bias you get purer results (I hope).
WOW!! Even though that’s not a scientific poll, for AOL that seems JUST CRAZY!! Seems like they usually lean left most of the time.
56-40% for McCain/Palin!! With almost 100,000 votes.
Let’s hope these are the election day numbers, the hospitals will be FILLED with DUmmies having heart attacks!
I remember in 2004 the AOL straw poll always had Bush beating Kerry pretty handily as well.
