I arrived at the Landing at 6:50 and there was a looooong line already. The security guard said there were people there when he arrived at 04:30! The news channel said there were 1,000 people that waited outside during the event because they couldn’t get any more people inside!

We finally got inside the landing at 08:45. Sarah Palin didn’t get on stage till about 10:30, but we were having a good time listening to music and having good conversation. Finally Sarah arrived to the tune of “Simply the Best” by Tina Turner. The crowd really gave her a warm Jacksonville welcome, it was AWESOME! Sarah Palin said ‘she was so thankful for all of the members of our military who are serving our country overseas, and it’s because them that we are able to live here in safety!’!

After it was over, we had to wait for her entourage to leave before we could cross the street. We waited for about 45 minutes. I looked across the street and there were 3 Marines in uniform. The motorcade started to leave and then her car stopped half way across the street and she got out and went to the Marines and thanked them!! I got all that on video. After she got back in her car and left, they let us cross the street and everyone flocked to the Marines. I went there and soon I could see one of the Marines was my sons' recruiter! He and the other Marines were not at the rally, they waiting to get to the landing to get some lunch! I said “You lucky dog, got to meet the next VP!” and he was smiling and very proud. He asked about my sons and I told him they were at the same base in Iraq and he said “OORAH!!! I know you’re proud of them, Semper Fi”. Wow, it was really a spectacular day!

Thank you so much for the explanation on how it was that she decided to get out and visit a little ; } We saw the three Marines from farther up the street, but lost sight of them as they headed toward The Landing.

Thank you also, to you, and to your sons, for their service.

Indeed, it was a Great day!

God Bless

Tatt
