John McCain is collapsing in the polls in Florida and other swing states, but Sarah Palin, God bless her, has a solution.
"For me, the heels are on, the gloves are off," she announced at high noon Monday to a group of Republican donors at the Naples Beach Club....
Worse, Palin's routine attacks on the media have begun to spill into ugliness. In Clearwater, arriving reporters were greeted with shouts and taunts by the crowd of about 3,000. Palin then went on to blame Katie Couric's questions for her "less-than-successful interview with kinda mainstream media." At that, Palin supporters turned on reporters in the press area, waving thunder sticks and shouting abuse. Others hurled obscenities at a camera crew. One Palin supporter shouted a racial epithet at an African American sound man for a network and told him, "Sit down, boy."...

“”For me, the heels are on, the gloves are off,” she announced at high noon Monday”
High noon was always a good time for dueling in the Wild West.
The crowd at Clearwater was 3.000? I thought it was MUCH larger??
And yes, it is ugliness to talk about Obama’s associations.
Most of the known ones are dreadfully hateful people.
Even his wife.
Its not surprising when you consider that the msm attacks on Palin turned ugly long ago.
BTW, I'm glad the people are expressing their disgust to the media. The msm has earned nothing but contemt this election cycle.
Dana Milbank’s just sorry he never met a woman he could whip...
Sincerely DOUBT IT!
As my wife just said oh goody I was hopin for some ugliness.
Press is now the issue and like the wusses they are they cannot handle it.
Candidates are not supposed to point out the facts about the press.
Hey MSM the pit bull has jumped the fence and shes coming after ya.
That was my first thought too. As a “sound man” for the MSM, I would suspect we have audio of that recorded? On which network has it been played? Surely something of this nature would be spread about by now, don’t ya’ think?
Geez these MSM types are shameless.
Well at least one Obama Supporter is Osama Bin Laden.
What?
Milbank’s strategy: fabricate an anti-Palin narrative by making the false claim that members of the pro-Palin crowd were shouting racist and violent comments.
Y’know, there’s a great line in the movie “Babe” that we should all use from now on against our liberal friends when they get mouthy, disingenuous and out of line... “That’ll do, pig.”
Dana, honey, that’ll do, pig.
Ooh, those plastic balloon thundersticks can really cause some damage, how menacing! What kind of abuse? Were they hacking into the camera crew's email? Were they questioning the paternity of the camera crew's children?
A nasty, petty little article from a nasty little journo.
He’s obviously badly frightened by what he sees: a competent and pretty woman VP candidate taking the Dems and the MSM to the woodshed for a bare-assed caning.
I loved reading this article on that basis: thanks for posting it!
These thoughts:
1. If true, that guy is a pathetic bipedal slug, and needs a shaming and repudiation that will make his fourth-generation ancestors blush. In fact, the language that comes to my mind is not language I should use. The GOP is not a racist party. We leave that to the Dems. However....
2. How does Milbank know he was a Palin supporter? Did he interview him afterwards?
3. If not, then gee why does Milbank describe the talking dung as a "Palin supporter"? You don't think... it's not possible... no, it couldn't be that Milbank is trying to link Palin to racism. Is he? Nawww.
You betcha!
Huh?
As if Milbank’s reporting can be trusted.
