Iranian Clerics, Security Officials Stress Importance Of Martyrdom Culture
At several recent Basij ceremonies, several clerics and senior officials from the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and the Basij stressed the importance of inculcating a culture of martyrdom (shehada) amongst the public, with the aim of preserving the Islamic Revolution.

Basij Cmdr: Iran Can Crack Anti-Missile Defense Systems
Hossein Taeb, commander of Iran’s Basij forces, has said that in the recent maneuvers, Basij forces successfully identified and scrambled enemy anti-missile defense systems.
It was also reported that the Iranian army had held the first surface-to-surface missile firing competition between air force and ground forces missile units.
Iran’s deputy military commander Abd Al-Rahim Mousavi said that the contest ended successfully in Isfahan and Samnan provinces, that these competitions would be expanded to other provinces, and that additional types of missiles would be used.
