BOSTON (AP) - Rep. Barney Frank said Monday that Republican criticism of Democrats over the nation's housing crisis is a veiled attack on the poor that's racially motivated.
The Massachusetts Democrat, chairman of the House Financial Services Committee, said the GOP is appealing to its base by blaming the country's mortgage foreclosure problem on efforts to expand affordable housing through the Community Reinvestment Act.

McCain better not be afraid to make that case or he can't win the election. He must show to the American people that the Democrats are responsible for subprime loaning and that is what cause the present financial crisis.
The more they scream racism about everything, the more normal Americans will be put off. How Barney Frank was ever elected, much less re-elected, escapes me.
I think that Frank and Schummer, Pelosi and Reid are all evil...period. The poor would be better off without their help...now they aren’t only poor—they have bankruptcy and bad credit to thank the democrats for.

He should have done this right from the beginning. It is ridiculous they have let this go on for weeks without clearly naming names and making the case against the democrats.
Years ago they called the banks who used “red-lining” racists. Now, people who investigate the ensuing disaster caused by the “cure” are racists.
