Interesting internals, dems oversampled by 10% plus, independents by 5%, yet Obama only has a 3-4 point lead? In 2004, check out the results, the dems and republicans equally turned out at 37%, and the independents in fewer numbers:

SOCIAL GROUPS AND THE PRESIDENTIAL VOTE, 2004 Size Bush Kerry Nader Party Democratic 37% 11% 89% 0% Independent 26% 48% 49% 1% Republican 37% 93% 6% 0%

The CBS poll also shows McCain pulling a hefty 28% of Hillary voters....

Thus the CBS poll counts on 37% turnout for Dems, and only a 27% turnout for Republicans? No way!

Funny how the polls are all of a sudden...getting closer. I guess they’re getting to the point where they want some credibility.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted Sept. 27-29, 2008, oversampled blacks (one of many that have done the same).

Many polls are oversamplng blacks, Dems and undersampling Repubs.

I’m getting a feeling that Obama’s right flank has been turned (or is that left).

Things will shift back people. Obama has not closed the deal but McCain needs to knock Obama down and stomp on him in tomorrow’s debate. He needs to make America see him as the next President and Obama seem the risky radical alternative who wants to feed America another crap sandwich of higher taxes and bigger government.

48-45% isn’t bad.

Its within margins of error.

I sure hope there are still enough Americans left in this country to stop this Chicago thug from getting elected. I’m remaining optimistic.

No doubt McCain is behind no matter how I slice and dice. Whatever McCain and Palin are doing to get this shift, please continue.

Seriously, how can the MSM justify a 37% Dem, 33% Ind., 27% Repub. sample in a poll? What am I missing here? If the sampling was more accurate, McCain would have a +3.7% RCP average right now...especially given the fact that he has 28% of Hillary voters (according to this poll), which translates to 5,000,000 additional votes, not to mention the union vote he will get....I am just not feeling the alleged +6% Obama RCP average....

Wow! Just three points! Was this reported on CBS News? (I am dreaming, I suppose). So, this one is 3 points. Zogby has it at 4 points . . . and he says the race is still very fluid. Hope does spring eternal.

You know, I have been frustrated by the long time that has elapsed since I went online and ordered a yard sign and bumper stickers. I consoled myself with the thought that the signs were simply needed elsewhere. I am in Georgia. But, upon arriving home today I discovered that the friendly UPS man had delivered a package. My car suddenly sports a McCain-PALIN sticker, and my McCain-PALIN sign is up in front of my house!!! With an American flag next to it!!! God bless America!!! Keep praying, y'all!!! Keep praying!!!

Curl,

I want McCain of the court and Sarah and Todd to being playing on only court only for a few weeks, and that is Michigan.

Fight to the death for it, It is the metaphorical nexis of where the country is, and it is where Obamy will take the rest of the nation. We are being run like a Tin-Horn Euro-Socialist Weenie State. This beast needs to be slayed, do it by winning the hearts and minds of Guys and Gals on the line that are Yellow Dog Democrats at heart, many of which are Catholic.

Note the misleading claim about enthusiasm. If you combine the enthused with the next category, support with reservations, the numbers are nearly identical for both sides. Furthermore, the percentage of Obama supporters who are unsure if they will ultimately vote for him has grown 4 points in less than a week. For McCain, the trend is the opposite.

not only that they have likely voters only helping McCain by 1 point vs. registered voters. We know this is at least 2 points if not 4 point advantage to the republican. Add in the wilder effect, over sampling and we are right in there.

BUT add in the rat ground work (cheating) in key states and we are back out by 1 or 2 points.

My McCain-Palin sign out front has been stolen twice this week. At least one campaign has not given up on Michigan. Wonder how much the thugs get per sign?

Keep a can of spray paint and some posterboard and sticks in the garage. Make your own replacement every time! And put another sign next to it telling people how many previous signs . . . with a running tabulation if you have to . . . that have been stolen by the Obama thugs. An American flag next to it would be a nice touch. :-)

I have posted before on FR the pollster gameplan. It is predicated on demoralizing the conservative base. After the selection of Palin, a combination of factors locked obama out of election: 1) hillary voters choosing not to vote or vote for McCain in excess of 30%, 2) independents switching strongly into the McCain camp 50 to 35 and 3) conservative base mobilization exceeding 90%.

To stop this, the media plans to do the following:

1. Bring polls to close or McCain in the lead, shortly before the debates
2. Crash the polls after each debate and spin disaster for Republicans in commentary
3. Slowly return the polls to balance before repeating the process.

The purpose is to shake off the conservative base and convince them that all hope is lost due to the apparently catastrophic performance of their candidates. The economy cause is bogus. Polls don’t move this much. It has followed this pattern on both debates— even after palin crushed biden.

I would not be surprised if tomorrow polls prior to debate show nearly even

by thursday, McCain will again fall off the cliff showing ‘he lost again.’
