Just a side note here... I don’t know why we keep referring to them as “main street media.” They are anything but main street. They are just DNC news organizations and full of yellow journalism.

For most of us, MSM stands for Main STREAM Media, not Street. Your criticism still applies though.

We use the term main stream media not to imply that it is within the main stream of American culture. On the contrary, the MSM only reflects mainstream culture insofar as it shapes it. It is, however, the mainstream as regards the media, and we use the appelation to differentiate between it and the conservative media.

By the way, so-called “yellow” journalism was less partisan than the current MSM. Pulitzer and Hearst wrote stories to sell papers, not to promote a particular worldview. I’m not sure they even had a worldview, outside of vulgar convention. Remember the newspaper tycoon in The Fountainhead? As soon as he tried to force the public to support Howard Roark, he lost his public.

I’ve seen others use the term “legacy media” which resonates with me.

It’s more accurately the ‘main STREAM media’, but I agree...I only refer to them as Rush now does:

the more accurate

“drive-by media”.
