Remember that Canadian Broadcast Corportation (CBC) columnist, Heather Mallick, who wrote a story chock full of Palin Derangement Syndrome on September 5? Her hateful rantings against Sarah Palin were so over the edge that the CBC was forced to issue an apology:
"Mallick's column is a classic piece of political invective. It is viciously personal, grossly hyperbolic and intensely partisan. And because it is all those things, this column should not have appeared on the CBCNews.ca site."
Well, guess what? According to the New York Times, Mallick was just "joking." Ian Austen, writing in the Times, provides the "joking"excuse in his story (emphasis mine):
Heather Mallick, an opinion columnist for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Web site, is known for her use of humorous exaggeration. But last week after removing a column by Ms. Mallick, which said that Gov. Sarah Palin has “a toned-down version of the porn actress look” and suggested that Republican men were sexually inadequate, the government-owned CBC ruled that its opinion writers had to stick to the facts even when they were joking around.

I think the ferocity and confidence with which Sarah Palin has started tearing into anyone who crosses her has these little twinkies scared.
It’s the Sarah Palin Chronicles, only in this story SHE is the terminator. It’s as if when her interviews were butchered by dishonest journalists she had said, in her best Ah-nold voice “I’ll be back.”
At the debate she crashed her car onto the stage and started raining destruction on the heads of Obama, Biden and total strangers who sort of looked like Obama or Biden.
She’s had enough, gotten totally pissed off and has decided it’s no more Ms. Nice Mom.
She has let the dogs out, and they are all pit bulls.
It is no wonder these cheap shot artists are now running away as fast as they can. She’s now even making jokes about Tina Fey. Hey Tina, want to come out to play?

That a grown woman would use the “just joking” excuse is pathetic beyond words. My own kids stopped using it around 10.

Wow, there must have been some backlash for the CBC to apologize AND for this thing,Mallick to try to “reframe” her position. Bill Maher will probably put her on his show permanently.

How about Obama openly campaigning for his communist cousin Odinga who signed a pact with Muslims to enact Sharia Law if elected and started riots when he lost. Obama campaigned for an openly Anti-American candidate in a foreign country in 2006 at taxpayer expense.
