Does Barack Obama truly expect the American people to believe that he had no idea about his friend’s past as the infamous founder of the domestic terror group ‘The Weather Underground’ or is he just lying? If Obama didn't know in 1995 about the bombings Ayers was responsible for, when did he find out -- because Obama was promoting Ayers' book in 1997, serving on boards with him until 2002, and trading emails and phone calls with him as recently as 2005. If Obama really was unaware of Ayers' radical past, learning the truth doesn't seem to have had any effect on their friendship. Whether Barack Obama is lying to voters about his previous support for higher taxes on the middle class, his votes against funds for American troops in the field or his associations with an unrepentant terrorist, voters are left wondering who Obama is and what he stands for."

The essential goal of Barack Obama's collaboration with William Ayers in the CAC was to test for effective ways of radicalizing public school children, using the inner city Chicago schools as a test bed.
It was not about the three R's. Radicalizing schoolkids (especially black kids) was their R.

Obama didn’t know alot of things.
He didn’t know that his pastor or 22 years, and close personal friend, is a race baiting, anti-American lunatic.
He didn’t know that his long time close associate William Ayers is a terrorist.
He didn’t know that Rezko was breaking the law.
He didn’t know these significant things about people very close to him, yet he claims to know what is best for this country?
Either he is a lying sack of —— and he knew about these things all along, in which case he is unfit to be the Chief Executive, or he had no idea that those closest to him were despicable America-hating lunatics, in which case he is unfit to be the Chief Executive. God help us if he wins.

If you want me to believe that he had no idea what Ayers was about, and yet he worked with him or in close association to him, making decisions of how our tax money was to be spent on behalf of Ayers and the Woods Fund...then he is reckless and clueless. Is this a man that should be president when he isnt even aware of the people in a foundation he chaired???? Cut me a break.

The notion, advanced by the Obama camp, that Obama didn’t know of Bill Ayer’s past is so astonishingly, breathtakingly, unbelievable that the fact that Obama could trot out this defense is evidence that he holds the entire electorate in utter contempt.
This won’t be forgiven or overlooked.
This will cost him big time.
Moreover, he has made a laughing stock of himself - the WORST mistake a politician can make.

Hadn't heard that one before...but here is what I found:
Michelle Obama organized a University of Chicago panel about Bill Ayers's crime book in November 1997, just as the battle over the juvenile justice bill was heating up. That panel featured appearances by some of the key figures discussed in Ayers's book, along with Obama himself, who was identified in the press release as "working to block proposed legislation that would throw more juvenile offenders into the adult system." In effect, then, this public event was a joint Obama-Ayers effort to sink the juvenile justice bill-Obama's decision to plug Ayers's book in the Chicago Tribune the following month was part of the same political effort.
