“I guess almost joining the military is as important as being in the military. What an insult to our brave men and women.”
Do you remember why he didn’t go in?
Since there was no combat happening during his “consideration” window, he didn’t see a reason to enlist.
LOL, Obama needed a combat payoff to make it worth his while.
ya almost got me!
It’s amazing because it sounds like something he’d actually say
It’s always all about Obama, isn’t it?
Which god does he complain to when it rains on his parade? Allaypoop or hisself?
Yes, it’s supposed to be tsk tsk funny.
Agree wholeheartedly. Some observations.
First, Jimmy Carter was the first wuss Democratic President, but at least he spent time in the undersea Navy as a submariner.
Bill Clinton was the second wuss Democratic President; no military service for him but some clear evidence that he was a draft dodger (even if he wasn't it still sounds good).
Second, have you noticed that at the end of wuss Democratic Administrations, America is routinely in trouble militarily? Think the end of the Carter Administration. We'd told the Shah to leave Iran, and of course earned the undying appreciation of the Muslim radicals -- oops, I mean pushing the Shah out only made them kidnap several dozen Americans and use them as pawns. Did the Muslim world, or even our NATO allies, view us as strong then? No. That's one of the reasons that Reagan won so handily in 1980.
Fast forward to Clinton's administration. In his first year of office, to show their eternal gratitude that an American leftist was running the nation, the Muslims stopped their murderous antics -- oops, I mean they ratcheted them up, by trying to bring down the WTC the first time, in fall 1993. In order to be nice, Clinton decided to try them as civilians and gave them expensive lawyers and years to prepare a defense, rather then a military trial and execution at dawn. Radical Islam was so grateful their terror acts went on hiatus ... I mean, were increased. By the end of the Clinton Administration, there were the bombings at American embassies and the attack on the USS Cole. Was America viewed better or worse by 2000, versus 1993?
The contrast is with Republican Administrations. No one doubts that at the end of the Reagan Administration, or Bush 41, that America was strong and at a zenith of sorts. Bush 43's terms will be viewed the same way.
The question is, why does the electorate keep falling for this cr-p? That nice liberals will bring us peace?
It’s getting clearer to me now. We probably lost the Vietnam war because we didn’t have Obama onboard. What were we thinking?
Did Obama vote for or against the Vietnam war?
