Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama accused the McCain-Palin campaign of using “swift boat”-style tactics in new ads and stump speeches unleashed this week because Sen. Obama once considered joining the military.
“Just like they done old John Kerry, they’re doin’ me,” said Sen. Obama. “They know that I pondered military service and might have ended up as a swift-boat commander and decorated war hero if the Vietnam conflict hadn’t ended too soon.”
Today, the senator from Illinois said, “Americans won’t tolerate attacks on a man who very nearly risked his life for his country, and almost certainly would have won the Silver Star for gallantry in action against the enemy.

I know this is satire. But really, Obama needs to man up. He really doesn’t do well when women go after him. What a wuss. And he wants to be Commander-in-Chief. Lord help us if that should come to pass.
I guess “almost” joining the military is as important as being in the military. What an insult to our brave men and women.

I love how they constantly say “Swift Boat style attacks”, as if what the Swift Boat guys said about Kerry wasn’t true.

Obama started out running against Governor Palin. Then he backed off. Guess he can’t stand up to her, so he has to stick to running against McCain. Ha. Ha.

Keep it in focus, people. This HAS to be send-up, to suspend belief even momentarily that Barack Hussein Obama, Jr., the charismatic, messianic Magic, um, Mulatto, would EVER consider such an radioactive occupation as being in a disciplined military venue. He cannot even bring himself to respect such a profession.
There was NEVER any fear that Obama would ever succumb to the blandishments of collecting on the GI Bill for education, or using the VA Home Loan Guaranty program for a home purchase. Getting up in the mornings and marching for a government you despised (and we may be certain that in the early 1980’s, even then young Obama would have despised serving under Ronaldus Magnus) was just not on his radar.
He wouldn't even have been the nominee if Oprah hadn't vouched for him. "Go ahead, sistas, you can vote for this one, he ain't a dog like the guy who won't pay your child support!"
