And if Obama wins, the democrats will think they have the mandate of the 'people' this time ... and try it.

At one time I would have agreed with you 100% but after seeing the folks of New Orleans so handily subdued after Hurricane Katrina that they would so meekly surrender their weapons, I have to conclude that 99% of all Americans are going to roll over and show their bellies while whining: Please Mr Tyrant, don't harm me or my family! Not only will they surrender their guns, they'll happily turn in other family members or friends in order to ingratiate themselves with the new order. Very few folks are going to be playing Blaze of Glory by Bon Jovi when the day comes in the not too distant future.
