Can any of you add a single hour to the length of your life by worrying?

(Matthew 6:27)

Why worry when you can pray. Remember this: God's in control, whatever the outcome, it will be so that "scripture can be fulfilled".

As anyone knows who has read my comments, I think Sarah Palin is the last best hope for the Republican Party. At the Washington political organization where I am communications director, we need a dynamic young person to work in media outreach. And we need massive grassroots lists to email to. So, if any of my fellow Freepers can give me an assist, I would deeply appreciate it!

I emailed that suggestion to the campaign She doesn’t need to just talk about Ayers. Keep pounding that, but throw all the other relationships in. Now we even have his wife’s Thesis from Princeton (That’s good stuff for a 527 Ad). The idea, is the next 29 days, the campaign has to be all about Obama. Forget the rest of the issues, because for the most part they are just a blur.

I was at the Republican Headquarters in Roanoke picking up some bumper stickers and yard signs/buttons...etc.

Lady asked if I could volunteer. I told her I lived an hour from there and commuted...but would be happy to volunteer in my own town. She said (and I quote) problem is we only have 17 offices we are able to staff in Virginia whereas Obama has 43, and there was not one in my hometown.

I asked what the problem was and she told me, “It is because most of our supporters work during the day where Obama’s volunteers do not and have plenty of free time to assist.”

Says alot. I hope you find the help you need.

Anyone have talent with lyrics? I just noticed that one of
my favorite childhood songs (from the days when Disney
celebrated traditional values) is a natural fit to Governor
Palin. Can anyone help finish the lyrics and either post or
email suggestions (or tell me it's a dumb idea)?

The Ballad of Davy Crockett

Lyrics by Tom Blackburn
Music by George Bruns

Born on a mountain top in Tennessee
The greenest state in the land of the free
Raised in the woods so's he knew ev'ry tree
Kilt him a b'ar when he was only three
Davy, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier

Fought single-handed through many a war
Till the enemy was whipped and peace was in store
And while he was handlin' this risky chore
He made himself a legend forever more
Davy, Davy Crockett, the man who knew no fear

He went off to Congress and served a spell
Fixin' up the Government and the laws as well
Took over Washington, so I heard tell
And he patched up the crack in the Liberty Bell
Davy, Davy Crockett, seeing his duty clear

When he came home his politic'ing was done
And the western march had just begun
So he packed his gear and his trusty gun
And lit out a-grinnin' to follow the sun
Davy, Davy Crockett, leading the pioneer

The Ballad of Sarah Palin

Lyrics by Freepers
Music by George Bruns

Born on a mountain top in Idaho
She moved up North to the land of the snow
Stalkin through the woods 'fore the sky’s aglow
Kilt her a moose, by dinner it’s gumbo
Sarah, Sarah Palin, queen of the wild frontier

....

The polls are designed to fit the agenda.

If we fall for the polls then they win.

More than a little disgusted that we buy into the msm spin.

Somehow McCain was wrong to go to D.C. to get first hand info on the credit crisis?

I don’t buy into the msm template and I do buy into the fact that the markets are being manipulated by certain fund managers who are driving this economy into the ground.

Not all stocks are on the NO SHORT SELLING list. There is money to be made and some people are getting richer.

I am not selling my stocks. I am not selling out my country.

Florida. Not sure of the town. The crowd was massive and cherring wildly.

She explained McCain’s plans for the economy, for energy, and for taxes.

She got into Ayers too.

If I found I would be the only person in America voting for McCain/Palin, I’d still do so to exercise my right to chose my own candidate regardless. I too am taken back by how easy it is to bend the public’s thinking/point of view. I’ve always been a maverick of sorts myself...so I appreciate our candidates’ willingness to go against the flow, since currently so much that is flowing is sewage!

Might need some polishing, but here goes —

The Ballad of Sarah Palin

Lyrics by Freepers
Music by George Bruns

Born on a mountain top in Idaho
She moved up North to the land of the snow
Stalkin through the woods ‘fore the sky’s aglow
Kilt her a moose, by dinner it’s gumbo
Sarah, Sarah Palin, queen of the wild frontier

Ousted some crook, put a couple in jail
Cleaned up the place, didn’t know how to fail
And the way she handlled this risky chore
Made her a legend from shore to shore
Sarah, Sarah Palin the lady who knows no fear

A call came from Washington to serve a spell
Fixin’ up the Government and the laws as well
She’ll go Washington, so I hear tell
And help with polishing that Liberty Bell
Sarah, Sarah Palin, seeing her duty clear

She’ll serve two terms, Vice President to start
Then two more as President; she’s just that smart
Then she’ll step down, like the lady she be
But she won’t fade away, you just wait and see
Sarah, Sarah Palin, Queen from the Wild Frontier

She’ll go back home, her big part done,
It’ll be time to relax and have some fun
But she’ll be there, you can bet on that
Alert and ready again pick up the bat
Sarah, Sarah Palin our Queen from the Wild Frontier

Sarah will be in Ft Myers this afternoon. Unfortunately I’ll miss her, I’m in California visiting. My old Army buddies are there on the floor volunteering with the set up. I would have been there with them had I not been committed here. It will be interesting to see if many of the students from FGCU attend. (One of them is mine.)

I read this on another blog but this guy was saying that when he was in Naval special opts it was discussed whether an infiltrated MSM could bring down a country, and the consensus was that it could...

it fits then, that we will see no positive driveby polls or hpye for our candidate...

SO DON'T BELIEVE THE POLLS...BELIEVE WHAT YOU ARE SEEING AT THE SARAH RALLIES....BELIEVE IT WHEN YOU SEE MILLIONS BEING DONATED OVERNIGHT TO THE CAMPAIGN...BELIEVE THAT IF WE WANT THIS, WE CAN GET IT!

and they call Sarah a cheerleader, but I never was chosen for cheerleading in the 8th grade so I am grabbing my chance now...lol!
