Obama using CNN to fuel voter depression. They will start saying Obama has already won. That way a what’s the use attitude starts.

Dont buy it!...Dont watch CNN tell your friends!

Don’t believe it. Nebraska will go for Obama just about the same time Hell throws a kegger.

You are right. We need to dig in and inform everyone we know how important it is that they vote for McCain/Palin.

Just reading the MSM and watching them isn’t good for my blood pressure.

Another attempt to demoralize and panic the GOP.

Forget the Post, we have plenty of "realist" demoralizers right here at FR. Sure would hate to have any of them as a coach. Lets see, its halftime, the team is down 21 points and here is their "pep" talk: "Its over boys you can't win, all we can do now is to try and minimize the humiliation."

And they believe they are wise people...go figure.

I haven't been through Lincoln for months and haven't been to Omaha in a couple years, so I don't know what the feel is on the ground there. I am seeing a fair amount of Obama bumper stickers and such here in central Nebraska.

I don't worry too much about it, though, because most folks that I know who vote Republican don't like to muck up their cars with bumper stickers and the like. They just quietly go about their business and get the job done.

Whenever I see an Obama sticker I try to get a look at the driver. Often times they look like aging hippies or community college teachers (if you're a conservative community college teacher don't get all worked up - you know the type I'm referring to). Thankfully, that doesn't really represent the "heartland". The metro area of Lincoln/Omaha does represent the bulk of the population base in Nebraska, but the good news is a lot of those libs talk a good game, but on Election Day they won't bother to actually go to the polls.

I live in Omaha & had the pleasure of going to the Palin rally last night.
From a demographic standpoint Omaha is still very strong republican even in the Omaha area. The last poll I saw still had McCain up by single digits in the Omaha district (the one in play) so hopefully it will be a non issue.

Obama couldn’t win a free soda at McDonald’s in Nebraska.

Get real.

Good to hear a report from someone “on the ground” there. I listen to KFAB quite a bit while I’m driving during the day, and they have been talking about the possibility of the Omaha district being in play for the Dems. I still think that the majority of folks who live here in Nebraska are conservative at heart, even those registered Dem. I would imagine, though, that the large metro areas would be the first to change since that is where the population base tends to fluctuate the most.

Already have begun to do this! I hate to even have to go to MSNBC site. I look elsewhere, like FR

I went to the rally. It was a very long line, and when we finally got in, we could only make it into the overflow area. What was cool is that she first appeared in the overflow area. I thought we'd be stuck watching her on the big screen. Even after she left our area, most of the people stayed and watched her on the on the screen. A woman in front of us claimed she'd been a dem, but was going McCain this time. We saw the Obama protesters. I felt sorry for them. Every time they'd start a chant, the Palin supporters in line would fire up and shout them down. KFAB covered it. We listened to their commentary on the way home. They dumped cold water on the whole event saying it was just stock politics, nothing new, boring. I guess you get it, or you don't. I thought she set the place on fire. The media is definitely going to have to filter her, or she will catch on. Cool that a red state got to see her though.

HAHAHA I hope you are right... it was 4 years ago so my memory is shoddy but didn’t the media keep going on and on about how Kerry was going to win even though Bush was leading in the polls? It is the polls I am worried about right now

Sarah hopefully is pulling in $2 m a day for the GOP at fund raisers after her speeches plus adding at least another $1 m a day on the web donations. Hopefully we can pull in $100 million in the next 30 days because we need it. Obama’s offshore contributors are working over time with their credit cards.

Ignore the polls and MSM. No whining. Talk to friends and relatives.

Donate and volunteer for McCain-PALIN 2008.
