One day after John McCain's running mate escalated the vitriol of the presidential campaign by invoking a 1960s radical, Barack Obama accused Republicans of trying to distract voters from the sagging economy with "smears"

Speaking to thousands of voters Sunday afternoon at Asheville High School, the Democratic nominee argued that McCain shares President Bush's economic philosophy.

Things I'd like to hear McCain say...

#1: "OK, Barry. You want to talk about the economy. Well, let me tell you about the economy. Let's start about the current Fannie and Freddie driven crisis...started and perpetuated by the Democrats...including (finger in Obama's chest) you."

Well, I can dream, can't I?

Barack Obama is using the economy to distract everyone from the truth about who he is and what he stands for.

Distracting from the economy? The GOP owns this issue, if they’ll just engage them on it. Frustrating!!

McCain needs to hit VERY hard on the economy. This is the issue that has altered the polls. Republicans have too long operated under the principle that in the end the truth will be known. The problem with that is that elections occur within finite time periods and have big consequences. In politics perception is often reality, and therefore all charges and misconceptions need to be answered and the record set straight as soon as those charges and/or misconceptions make their way into the national debate.

Poor Barry, he’s losing control of the campaign theme. Whine, whine, whine. Yes, McCain should talk economy, talk about the $$$ that BHO received from F & F, # 2 on the list after being a Senator for such a short time.

Barack Obama is a distraction from the American way of life.

Never again will I dismiss the koolaid drinkers as being too disorganized to steal an election (and with it, my country). We are in the fight of our lives my friends.

Bingo. He's furious that the McCain-Palin campaign has come out swinging and telling the truth about him.

I guess Barack isn’t able to take on more than one issue at a time.

Not Fit To Lead.

I would ask Obama or any of his supporters: if Obama must lie about himself—to such an extent that he is presented as opposite his real self—in order to win, doesn’t it mean the real Obama is vastly inferior?

How can you trust someone on the economy like Obama who pals around with, and works together with to the very loans that have wrecked the economy alongside unrepentant domestic terrorists?

McCain's decision, through his campaign announcement yesterday, to go after this is something that the American people very much need to hear about. BRAVO!.

“The last four weeks of this election will be about whether the American people are willing to turn our economy and national security over to Barack Obama, a man with little record, questionable judgment, and ties to radical figures like unrepentant domestic terrorist William Ayers. Americans need to ask themselves if they’ve ever befriended an unrepentant terrorist, or had a convicted felon help them buy their house — because those aren’t smears, those are true facts about Barack Obama.” —Tucker Bounds, spokesman McCain-Palin 2008

The real question is what the American people will do...and with Sarah out there all over the country, that is becoming more and more clear with each passing day.

SARAH PALIN SPOTTED "HIDING" FROM THE PRESS IN VA, CA, & NV

I'M VOTING FOR SARAH...AND SO ARE A WHOLE LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE

Now that Barry Obama has brought out the Keeting Five, hopefully McCain will consider Obama's ties to Fannie and Freddie fair game.

The American people will connect and understand this recent incident and the $100,000 dollar donation to Barry's campaign, much easier than something that happened 20 years ago and McCain was cleared of.

McCain, get him bulldog. Get Obama!

Sarah Palin = Pit Bull

McCain = Bull Dawg or Chihuahua?

Marxist tactic.

Avoid explaining truthful accusations by directing blame to an opponent in an attempt to put them in a defensive mode.
