I’d like to see a breakdown of the earmarks and who proposed them. Who stuffed the bailout? It was bad enough we are forced into 700 billion, but it was ransom money for the porkers. I want to know who. I want their names published on the web and MSM editorials.

It isn't possible to ferret out a complete breakdown from the Congressional Record. At least half of the pork (just judging by the roughly doubling of bill length as H.R.6049 moved through the Senate amendment process) originated in the House, in a bill that was darn long to begin with.

It's relatively easy to figure out the supporting base for the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act of 2008, see the record, including sponsors and co-sponsors for H.R.1424.

One thing I find hilariously funny is that the Senate passed "all that pork" (the contents of HR 6049) twice. It passed it 93-2 when it was all pork and only pork. The two NY votes came from Democrats. The Senate passed it again, in combination with the bailout and the Wellstone/Domenici mental health provisions, about a week later. So let me get this right, all that pork passes on Sept 23, on a 93-2 vote, and when it comes up in combination with the bailout, some of the Senators who voted AYE for the pork say "we were forced to vote for that odious pork because it's combined with an emergency financial bailout."
