The Lewisville City Council is expected to debate English as the city's official language, as well as which documents to translate into Spanish or other languages.
The council discussed translating documents in August but decided to postpone a decision until October. The council will reconsider the document matter Monday, as well as an official language resolution.
Carrollton officials recently considered a similar resolution but decided instead to form a residents panel to develop a recommendation on that and other issues related to illegal immigration.
So far in North Texas, only Farmers Branch and the small Denton County town of Oak Point have adopted English language resolutions.

Anyway... I lived in Denton / Corinth for quite some time (Plano is now my home... again). Mom still lives in Corinth.

why debate it?
I lived in Carrollton for a few years. I expect if they do pass such an ordinance, they will be visited not only by LULAC but ACLU as well. Didn’t Farmers Branch try this once and get their wrists slapped for it?
So far, Sarah Palin is the only one who does.
